   We had a wonderful family meal out at Sakura. We were early for our table and had to wait, but we were given a small table by the front door to sit and think about what we wanted to order. When our table was ready, and throughout our meal, we were attended to promptly and often by friendly, knowledgeable staff. The food came out incredibly fast and it was fresh, delicious and presented nicely. It's very clear this restaurant is popular as it was full the whole time, but because of the way it's laid out, we felt like we had our own private booth and we felt nice and cosy partitioned off from other diners. We were incredibly impressed by the service we received, despite it being so busy. When we left there was a queue out the door! We will definitely be back to this wonderful place.

   Every time we come here we are blown away by the quality of the food, it’s truly outstanding, service is really efficient and the fact that it’s always busy speaks volumes as to its reputation!

   The food is outstanding and good value, the service is incredibly fast with attention to detail. I don't think I've ever sat down here and not been eating within 20 minutes of sitting down, no matter how big the size of my group is. The food is authentic and fresh every time.

   A little gem of a restaurant which brightened a very rainy and windy day before the theatre. Fabulous decor, delicious ramen and very friendly service at a great price.

   As soon as we sat down we felt very pressured to leave ! Asking what we wanted before we had taken our coats off and constantly pushing us to finish the food and move into the next course . Really ruined the evening for us .

   Sakura is our favourite restaurant in Portsmouth never had a bad meal here everything is so fresh and quick. Volcano roll is the best sushi I’ve ever had and chia siew such reasonable prices and always busy as the food is so good! Never change top service and food always

    Always a warm welcome by the staff at Sakura, and service is quick and uncompromised. Staff offer to take orders for drinks as you’re sat down, but will give you time to decide if you’re unsure as to what you want. Drinks are brought out swiftly, and after the food order has been taken, the food is very quick to arrive, and always of a great standard. It’s always tasty, always nice and hot, and the sushi is presented beautifully. A follow up to ask how your meal is, is always accompanied with a big smile and a question if more drinks are required. I’ve been to Sakura several times over the years, and there’s never a problem with the quality of their food. Highly recommended if you’re ever in the mood for some authentic Japanese cuisine, and their set meal options are a great way to get a taste of most of the things they can provide for you. Well priced, great atmosphere, the staff are genuinely lovely.
