Sala Gastronómica, es un nuevo proyecto, que servirá comida mexicana (Fine Casual), a través de un viaje culinario, por las diferentes regiones de México, en un lugar que pretende resaltar los elementos, colores y sabores de México. Poco a poco la comida ha evolucionado, desde los ingredientes que se utilizan hasta el método de preparación, nuestra meta es demostrar que la cocina mexicana aunque ha pasado por varias etapas, sigue conservando la tradición de sus sabores, que con el paso del tiempo se ha enriquecido, pero siempre ha sido parte de quienes somos, llegando a ser PATRIMONIO DE LA HUMANIDAD. Un viaje culinario místico por las diferentes regiones de México, explorando ceremonias, ingredientes y secretos gastronómicos. Es un recorrido por el pasado hasta llegar al presente de la cultura mexicana, pasando por diferentes civilizaciones, cada una con sus peculiaridades. Unir las seis regiones de México, enalteciendo su tipo de cocina e ingredientes.

Fuimos por el menú de degustación y nada extraordinario, el postre fue lo mejor de toda la experiencia. Por el precio uno esperaría por lo menos un excelente servicio y tampoco. Supongo ese menú les encanta a los extranjeros. Tal vez elegir de la carta sea mejor experiencia

Muy buena experiencia, el lugar lindo y el servicio bien a excepción de la entrada en el museo que a pesar de llevar reservación y que nos esperaban los guardias no saben dar indicaciones correctas, nos hicieron hacer dos filas etc etc. Creo que deberían simplificar un poco eso. Podrían poner uní filas si es que no quieren que se mezcle la gente y dar capacitación a los guardias.

No se porque aparece que cancele mi reserva si estuvimos ahí hasta que cerró el restaurante. La comida estuvo rica, el servicio fue bastante bueno y el lugar divino. El baño estaba medio sucio pero en general fue una gran experiencia.

Sala Gastronómica at the Museo de Antropología complements the museum’s rich cultural heritage with an equally remarkable gastronomic experience. I was glad we made a reservation in advance, as the restaurant was bustling during lunch, with a waiting time of about 40 minutes. In a city as vast and vibrant as Mexico City, reserving a table is not just practical—it’s essential. We opted for the seven-course tasting menu, “Bésame y luego te explico,” featuring traditional recipes reimagined with a modern, upscale twist and perfectly paired with seven varieties of mezcal from Amaras. Each pairing was thoughtfully explained, from the origin of the recipes to the reasoning behind the flavor combinations. This attention to detail elevated the experience, turning it into a journey through Mexico’s diverse culinary traditions. Claudia, our server, provided exceptional care, sharing her 30 years of experience working at the restaurant and her passion for welcoming visitors from around the world. Her enthusiasm added a personal touch to the meal, and her kindness to our youngest guest ensured everyone felt included. Standout dishes included the plátano macho filled with Oaxaca cheese, served over a rich mole and bean sauce, and the pink mole from Guerrero, which paired beautifully with mezcal, highlighting the spices in the dish. Even my mother-in-law, a seasoned Mexican cook with her own cherished family recipes, was thoroughly impressed—a rare accomplishment! While the restaurant does not have a dedicated kids’ menu, they are more than happy to accommodate younger diners, making it an excellent choice for families. Overall, Sala Gastronómica offers more than just a meal—it’s an immersive exploration of Mexican culture and flavor, perfectly aligning with the museum’s mission to showcase the nation’s heritage. It’s a must-visit destination for anyone looking to experience the depth and diversity of Mexican cuisine in an unforgettable setting.

La comida muy rica y con buen servicio del personal. Mi única observación es que hay que pagar la entrada al museo para solo ir a comer.
