I can say that we most likely will not return. Service was good but the food was below par. Definitely expected more from a top name pizza restaurant.

Over this experience was poor. To start the music was on full blast at 4pm on a Saturday afternoon playing alternative rock music. The pizza was sub par sweet sauce and way too much, we got half cheese and have pepperoni and there were 8 pieces of pepperoni on the half. My daughter is 4 and loves pizza and wouldn’t touch it. Not to mention the pizza was $40 for 1 topping. Not worth the trip if you ask me. But this is my opinion. I also asked if they had any non alcoholic beers and the bartender/waitresses response was only non alcoholic beers we serve here is Root Beer. Killer joke.

The food and service was amazing! Our waitress was great and very friendly and attentive. The pizza is some of the best around and the ravioli and salad was also delicious. We will definitely be back!

We had reservations for a table but had to wait a while when we arrived. Once seated we ordered an appetizer as well as one pizza. We couldn’t have a conversation because the music was blasting and the genre was a little edgy for a pizza place. We waited 45 minutes for our pizza and when we asked why it was taking so long, the server said that 5 to go orders had sneaked in before ours so we had to wait for the oven to have space. The pizza tasted burned and was unpleasant. We have had New Haven style pizza before and it was not like this. I have to suggest to the restaurant that they only take a set number of to go orders at a time so that people in the restaurant don’t wait. I have gotten pizza from other places that do that and it saves all the problems. Our appetizer was crostini with charred tomatoes and basil which tasted ok but there were only 2 in the order so it felt too expensive for the quantity. Our waitress was pleasant but never came to give us an idea of what was taking so long. All in all, it was not an experience I would like to repeat.

Long time patron of the establishment in New Haven. I really love the Wethersfield location, especially the larger pizza oven and the ability for reservations! It is a winner

We enjoyed ourselves, our pizza was good and the salads are very large , easy to share with 2 or maybe 3 people. My only complaint is about the music, not energetic , as in your rating description but too loud. I think it was lower maybe someone complained. We could not hear our server while ordering. We will return.

Music was way too loud. Pizza seems different from the New Haven location. Not enough Italian wines on the menu and what is is overpriced. The beer I got was flat. Overall, it was not a good evening.

This was my second visit at Sally’s Apizza. The first time the pizza was excellent, so I was excited to return. However, yesterday’s experience was disappointing. Everything felt off from the dough to the pizza sauce. The pizza lacked the crispness and consistency I loved during my first visit—it was soggy and seemed undercooked. I let the waitress know and she kindly brought me another order. While the second pizza was a bit better, it still didn’t meet expectations. I appreciate the effort but overall, it was a letdown. I hope this was just an off day.

As a life long Pepe’s fan I felt traitorous walking into the new Sally’s in Wethersfield last night. Now, I have to admit, I might’ve been converted! I loved the updates from the NewHaven model. Great craft cocktails and full bar and more upscale atmosphere. Our family loved that it had a more restaurant quality, than just a pizza house. We tried a lovely Fried Mozzarella app and had the half portion of Carbonara. Both were excellent. Now, On to the pizza!!! Wow! Loved the cook and char. Absolutely best crust/dough flavor. Both the potato pizza and the red pie with bacon and garlic were Phenomenal! Best pizza that I’ve had in a while. Sorry Frank…Sally might have a new fan on their hands. We will be back for sure!

Not the traditional Sally’s. Modern, loud and extremely slow service. Waitress advised after ordering that pizzas would take at least 35min. Appetizer arrived after 20 minutes. Salads arrived after pizza. One of the pizzas arrived at least 15 minutes after the first ones with waitress stating that the reason was because different types of pizza cook at different times. Last pizza arrived an hour into service.
