   We had some visitors from Canberra and thought we would try Salt and Spencer as the view is fantastic. We ordered the flathead fillets and chips. We received 4 pieces of fish that were the size of a sardine, plate covered with a thousand chips and a salad consisting of purple cabbage, 2 pieces of green beans and rocket. If this is what we serve our visitors we should be ashamed as the view and service are very good. No wonder us locals stay away…….

   Our wait person Karen was a delight. The beef cheeks were 10/10. The best affogato I’ve ever had.

   We were so glad that we changed our booking from the upstairs Bistro at the Golf Club to Salt & Spencer for our final dinner in Mollymook with new friends. The menu catered for all and the added specials ensured that we had a great choice of dishes. The service was impeccable, especially Josi, who made sure everything was fine. What a delightful lady. We would definitely recommend this restaurant to others.

   We felt welcomed the minute we arrived. Staff were professional friendly and helped with menu selection. Portions sizes were very generous and the flavors fantastic. Can’t recommend highly enough. All this and an amazing view to top it off!

   Online booking provided us with a window table as usual, which is picture perfect. Brekkie, coffee and service was great as usual.

   Food & service was very good. Being Valentine's Day I would have expected the tables dressed & with some decoration for the day as it was marketed as a Valentines Day dinner.

   Disappointing this time. On two previous occasions, we dined at special events at Salt and Spencer and they were outstanding meals. This time however, the meals were of substantial size but underwhelming in taste and presentation. The cost of $89 was excessive given the very limited choice of meals. Two for each course. We had invited two friends and they said they wouldn’t return again. We, perhaps, will give them another chance.

We do strive to provide value for money and $89 for a 3-course meal and a glass of bubbles or beer is quite competitive pricing.
