Centrally located between the West Village and Knox - Henderson areas, Salum is a casual yet elegant and comfortable space composed by Julio Quiñones, one of Dallas’ most progressive young designers. The spacious dining room displays a welcoming palette of brown, green and beige, with a sleek open kitchen as the focal point. Salum combines the intimacy of a neighborhood establishment with the quality of a fine dining restaurant with an atmosphere that is approachable and distinctive yet unpretentious ~ a marriage of vision, passion and skill with the goal of providing its visitors with an extraordinary dining experience.                                         The halibut and mussels were delicious. We were not fans of the Caesar salad. Too many over spiced croutons and that huge Parmesan crisp was way too thick. And, I just think wines by the glass should be poured at the table so you can see exactly what you’re getting. Service was fantastic, as always!

                                        Salum is one of our favorites. We both had the pumpkin ravioli and shrimp which was incredible. The cup of lobster bisque was tasty and just the right temperature. The Black Manhattan was outstanding and a great value. As always, the service was attentive and the interior was pleasing to the eye.

                                        The mushroom Yorkshire pudding with the rack of lamb will have us back! Altogether wonderful evening. Highly recommend.
