   It was closed; but we were not notified. We walked over before our reservation time and a sign just said closed. They should not be taking reservations until they are actually open.

   I booked at this restaurant a month in advance. For those who have been to the Homestead, you know there are limited restaurant options on the resort and SS is a good alternative for dinner. Walked to the restaurant only to find, along with many others, the restaurant was shuttered tight! No reservation cancellation, no text explaining closure, nothing. Not even a sign on the door. Just closed! All of us were guests at the Homestead and because it was a very busy weekend at the resort, there was nowhere available to eat without a reservation! Many many people were inconvenienced and hungry! I heard the next day that SS had a pipe burst (?) have no knowledge whether true or not, but if that was true, then how about notification or a sign on the door telling people what happened and at least pretend to care about your patrons. Very very disappointed. I don't think I will try again, either. Horribly poor business practice, that is for sure.

   The manager closed this place the week before yet still accepted reservations. No notice on the door or any way to know. We got dressed up and left our resort to go only to find an empty parking lot and restaurant. The guy at the brewery across the street told us. We ate there instead and watched 3 or 4 other confused families walk up to the closed door of Sam Snead’s Tavern.

   The restaurant was closed and was not open for service on the day and time of our confirmed reservation. We did not receive any notice of the closing. This is unacceptable!

   While the food was good and our server did a pretty good job, we were there for over two hours. We were told they had a 30 top group. That I understand but we should have to wait that long. At the very least, I would have expected them to comp our apps, but they didn’t. We won’t be going back there again.

   Very low key experience and was very happy with the quality of food. Great experience all the way around!

   Our meal at Sam Snead Tavern was absolutely delicious! We had deviled eggs and peel and eat shrimp for starters, rack of lamb and Joyce Farms Chicken and finished off the night with crème brûlée and blackberry ice cream. The service was outstanding and the atmosphere was great! I love that the booths were high back and kept the privacy of each table jut that, private. We loved the pace of the meal, which is a testament to our server’s attentiveness. It’s such a pet-peeve of mine when I am not finished with the appetizer and my main meal shows up. I highly recommend Sam Snead Tavern for anyone looking for scratch made meals to order and a quiet, relaxed atmosphere.

   Overall great experience. Pork chop, lamb chop, and steaks were delicious. My only complaint was the pitiful wine list. Very little selection and for a place that serves high end food, they should have better wines.
