The food was unique and excellent! We were one of three tables with one waiter. There needs to be some education on how to provide service for a restaurant of this caliber. The oxtail were spectacular. We had three different delicious types of rice with our entrees of chicken Joffu and gumbo. I hope they can make it. Would go back again in hopes of improved service

I was called around 5pm to provide my meal selections for a 7pm reservation, so I had high hopes for service and quality. We kept it simple by ordering the same appetizer and entree. We ordered the crab and flounder rolls. They were visibly burnt and piping hot. No complaints about them being freshly prepared, but the burnt taste and burnt spots and burned smell were noticeable and should not have been served. For the entrees, we ordered the lamb and shrimp. It arrived cold. The lamb was in chunks with three bones, and they had no seasoning. Had they been cut, they could have been seasoned and seared on both sides. The meal was advertised with asparagus, yet it was served with steamed broccoli. The broccoli appeared to be the kind that comes in the pouches in the grocery store freezer. They were smoking hot straight from the microwave but didn’t have any seasoning at all. We waited at least 20 minutes before water was poured. Then another 30 for the appetizer. We waited another 40 minutes for the entrees and had to flag down a waiter for the desserts after sitting with nearly full plates visible on the table. I ordered the cheesecake. It was hard and nearly frozen. My friend order the toffee cake. She took one bite and left it. Had a waiter come back to the table, we would have told them the food was cold and bad, but no one came back to assess quality. The experience seemed like since they were paid in advance for the reservation, they spent little time ensuring quality. That was my second time visiting and my friend’s first. It isn’t likely we will return.

Sambou’s African Kitchen tonight was everything! 🙌🏽 Warm service, cozy ambience, and the food? Absolutely delicious! The Jollof rice and curry chicken stole the show, bursting with authentic African flavors. It was a perfect location for a night out with friends and is a hidden gem for true foodies – highly recommended! 🥂 Thank you, Joe for making our visit so special. 🫶🏽

This was our first time going to this place. It was very nice inside. It was different. The salmon was meal was delicious, the wings were great and the curry chicken also. It was very different the atmosphere was amazing. Food was kinda slow coming out they definitely need some help. But other then that we enjoy our self.

The food and service were phenomenal. The ginger punch was refreshing and delicious. The staff were Very inviting and accommodating. I asked for a sample of the fufu and they freely gave a sample of fufu and okra soup. Thank you for the experience.

Overall great first experience. I had the Beef Mafee. It was spicy, but not too spicy. I had the ginger juice. Super refreshing. My server was Michael. Attentive and professional.
