Sangiovese Ristorante at Fishers District is a new addition to the Sangiovese family. We have brought many of our original recipes to Fishers with an addition of a few new items. Sangiovese Ristorante was founded in 1994 by Owner/Operator Chris Evans. His goal was to bring an authentic Italian cuisine to Indianapolis' North Side. Through the years Chris has maintained his dedication to clientele by providing the highest quality ingredients and impeccable service. As always, Sangiovese was a delight. We book this restaurant regularly on Open Table, going back and forth between the Iron Works and Fishers locations. Both staff teams are great, and the food never disappoints.

Service was excellent as always. Ellie was phenomenal and explained the dishes well. Usually the food is outstanding; my husband and I both chose the scallop special with crabmeat and the sauce did not seem as if it were seasoned at all (completely bland and unremarkable) and the scallops may have been a touch undercooked (but still delicious, just barely warm). It was not quite up to the Sangiovese standard that we expected. The bruschetta was fabulous as always and the tiramisu dessert to die for. My daughter also had a cannoli that was full on the ends, but empty in the middle. So that was why we ranked the food only 4 stars. This is still our go-to place for special events. We will definitely be back.

Waitress was very pleasant and helpful, food was delicious. All the staff were quick and efficient. A very good dining experience overall.

We sat directly in middle of restaurant and the lights were too dim …. Difficult to read menu. The food was amazing, Alex, our server was amazing and the evening was wonderful!

Sangiovese in Fishers is simply one of our favorite restaurants. My husband and I probably dine there at least twice a month. There are many reasons why we love this restaurant and why we would recommend it to others. We personally rely on reviews for new restaurants we want to try, so I hope to help others with this review. The staff is outstanding, we have never had bad service and the management is top notch. The location is one we love, urban and walkable and close to home. We love the open atmosphere and the European decor, it makes for an enjoyable place to dine. The food and wine options are incredible…so many delicious traditional Italian dishes and fabulous nightly specials. Favorites: their fish specials are incredible; Fried Ravioli from the appetizer menu (my personal favorite); Insalata Salmone (another personal favorite); Lasagna (mama Mia!), Fettuccini Alfredo, Tortellini alla Effie and more! I have recently discovered a gluten intolerance and tried and loved their gluten-free pasta which you can get with any of the listed sauce preparations on their menu. It is our go-to restaurant and I highly recommend it! Bon Appetit!
