   On sundays they close the main restaurant and only the rooftop is available which we did not know going in. Wasn’t what we were expecting but a nice meal nonetheless.

   I invited five people for lunch at Santaella and we had wonderful service, wonderful ambience and the food was exceptional. We all ordered different dishes and they were all outstanding. I would definitely recommend Santaella to anyone who wants to experience an excellent meal in Puerto Rico.

   We had a great dinner! During the reservation process I mentioned a birthday in our party and ask for greeting upon arrival that didn’t happen. And was surprised that there wasn’t a complimentary dessert. That said the food was fabulous! Beautiful setting. Love the red wine glasses! Love the orange and green bathrooms!

   I made reservations at Santaella to celebrate a birthday at a fine dining but when we reached the venue we were taken to a open roof restaurant (Azotea) which was by the street that was too noisy (from outside and music was too loud inside). One of the servers told us that the app has issues as the chef owns both the restaurants and that day the fine dining restaurant (where actual reservation was made) was closed so they moved reservation to this open roof restaurant. We were not told about this until we reached there. So actually we did not get to eat where we actually made our reservation but were seated at this restaurant. I had made special request for the birthday at the fine dining restaurant but here they did not do anything. The description in the menu was different than what we got. Ordered Indonesian fried rice with shrimp and cashews but it had no cashews in the dish and was very salty. Very disappointed with the overall experience

   Honestly, I don’t understand the big hyped about this place. We arrived and the server took forever to come to the table. He took our full order and I also ordered a bottle of wine with it. Appetizer got to the table before the cocktails. Entrees were mediocre and so were the dessert. Server came to the TBL 3 times.. 1. To take our order.. 2. Ask for dessert… 3. To drop the check and charge us. When he asked us for dessert, he asked us, if we still wanted the WINE!. Meanwhile, he spent the entire night talking at the bar with his colleagues.

   Ah, the full "dining experience" package: forgotten wine, rushed courses, and a server who clearly moonlights as a bar socialite. Sounds like they’re really redefining customer service—by making it optional! At least now you can say you experienced the hype... and lived to tell the tale. 😉
