   My husband and I dined at Sarto for the first time last night. It was a pre-show meal, as we had tickets at PPAC. What a lovely experience! Sarto hits the mark on every level. We are non-drinkers, and instead of feeling like we disappointed the server, we were offered flat or sparkling water (very European) with a sincere interest in accommodating our hydration - it's hard to describe, but it was sincere and appreciated. My husband is carnivore, I am vegetarian, and there is plenty to please us both. Phoebe, the manager excelled at table-touching, and Keeley (sp?), our server, was lovely. Thanks, Sarto...    We liked the atmosphere at Sarto. The menu was smaller and we decided on two pasta dishes. The bread was good. The pasta dishes - mushroom cacia de Pepe and pesto pasta dish were different but just ok for us.

   Early reservation before a show - everything was wonderful: amazing food, delicious drinks, fabulous waitstaff (thanks, Zoe!) and a really nice vibe. Will definitely come back!

   Great experience. Food and service were great. Valet parking a plus since we had tix for a PPAC show. Seth our server and host Danielle made us feel so welcome. Highly recommend. Thank you Sarto!👍🌻😎

   Staff was welcoming, knowledgeable and attentive. The food and drinks were superb. Cannot say enough about what a wonderful experience it was to dine at Sarto!

   3 of us participated in the NYE event. We were a little disappointed from the time we got there until the time we left. We came 5 minutes prior to our reservation and we weren’t seated until 25 minutes after our reservation time. Keep in mind we paid $160 per person so $480 in total. While this included mostly everything that was said to be done. The food was not worth the money we paid up front for. We were seated upstairs and barely saw any of the ‘burlesque performance’ that was happening on the first floor. We did not get to break a plate at midnight. The DJ was not great and there was no dancing. I would have only gotten the $30 ticket if I knew that it was going to be disappointing. Not to mention the DJ was a minute late to the countdown for midnight and it was awkward when we were counting down upstairs and then a minute later we did it again. I haven’t been to this restaurant before so I don’t know what their everyday menu is like but the menu for events was not good at all (4/10). I do not recommend this place for the money asked for and experience we got. This is also just one review I’m sure other people enjoyed themselves but our experience was just not up to par.

    I’m going to start out by saying all staff members were extremely courteous, pleasant and apologetic. It was New Year’s Eve, so the place gets a little bit of leeway, (hence two stars instead of one) but it was a total cluster. Our 9:15pm reservation got us seated at 10:00pm. Which, okay. NYE. But while they were wishing the tables from the early-seating would empty, there were no convenient places to wait. The bar was packed (with other hopeful late-seating diners), so there were no other places to stand but against occupied tables or at the hostess stand where we were in the way. Once we were seated the waiter told us that our oysters would be served immediately. We don’t eat oysters and had no idea that they were the first course because, although we tried, we couldn’t access the NYE menu online. Maybe we missed it but we tried multiple times to find something that would give us an idea of what we would be eating, to no avail. We were given focaccia as a replacement for the oysters (not a financial equitable replacement). After a significant wait, the third course (main course) came out before the second course (salad) which came out a minute after the main meal was served. This meant that our already small table was very crowded. The food was not memorable, just okay. The deejay was playing very loud electronic beat music, not my idea of dining music… but I guess it created a vibe. Once dessert(tasty) was finished, we just wanted to get out of there and back to our hotel before midnight. When we received the check, the focaccia was on our bill. We pointed it out to our waiter and he got it taken off, but come on!!! It was the replacement for the oysters and it was bread for God’s sake, not lobster! But again, NYE. Expectations are lowered. I have to assume under normal circumstances this restaurant has its act together and is a perfectly fine establishment.
