Welcome to Sawatdee - Minneapolis! We are OPEN for dine in, take out and delivery.

Serving award-winning Thai cuisine since 1983, Sawatdee is home to Thai food, party spaces, a great happy hour, live music, and impeccable service.

When we first opened our doors at 1983, the Sawatdee mission was simple: to take our community on an adventure full of Thai flavors and good times. Many years later, that adventure is still as exciting as ever. Not only we expanded with more restaurants to share our flavors with more folks, we've added to to the flavors we offer, as well!

Our Minneapolis location is a beautiful warehouse-turned-restaurant, complete with a gold leaf ceiling and glass etchings of a Thai goddess. Specialties include Rama Thai Delight, Pad Thai, and a Tail of Two Cities.

Delicious food and very good service! Very tasty chicken satay, Thai iced tea, pad thai, and cheesecake with mango.

Overall, the was probably the worst experience we’ve had here and we were genuinely surprised. The food was mediocre, service was average (a bit slow considering how slow it was) and when we had to send a dish back the service was definitely impacted from that point forward. Hopefully just a one-off night!

Ordered hot and sour soup. Instead got some insipid broth full of broccoli, carrots, etc. No ginger, no lemongrass, no chiles/heat, no kefir lime. One of the worse meals I have had.

The food is absolutely delicious. Service was gracious. It was moderately quiet and luckily open on the 4th.

Sawatdee is one of my favorites so decided to take Mom & daughter there for Mother’s Day! Needless to say they loved it too!
