Schnitzel Platz in Glendale Heights is perhaps one of the most lively and entertaining eateries throughout the area and is known for hosting many events and is special enough to help ring in the holidays. In fact, Schnitzel Platz will often feature a special menu that has items only available throughout select times of the year like Oktoberfest. There are, of course, plenty of consistent favorites you will find too.

Some consistent menu items include the Kaiser in the neighborhood, whole suckling pig, Deutsche Haus platte, schweine braten and the sauerbraten. Make sure you also try the many schnitzels, of course, like the pork schnitzel, weiner schnitzel or the jager schnitzel. Service and the food for the most part was great. The cold plate and choice of sides are amazing. There were three of us and we each order different entrees. Two were excellent (half a roasted chicken and the jager schnitzel), the Schweine Braten was overcooked. Lucas is a wonderful server and servings are ample as we each brought some home.

Food was great, singer was there tonight too, so we got so fun polka music. Dinner was yummy, not rushed at all, always a good time

The ambiance is quite fun and inviting, but the service is subpar. The waitress barely checked back with us, forgot to put in an appetizer properly, and the food took an hour to come out. Waiting for food isn't necessarily bad when it arrives hot and fresh. Unfortunately, only 3 of the 7 main courses were hot, and their sides were not however. The 4 other meals were just warm and one of them came out 5 minutes later than the rest. The party next to us order after us but got their food first. It's a shame such a fun place with good food, when made properly to order, can't get it together to make the whole experience a great one.

First time visit will be back! The food was amazing the atmosphere was amazing! The waiter and staff were amazing! Definitely will recommend this place!!!

The food was delicious and it was a very festive atmosphere. Great schnitzel and savory gravy. Good German beer selection. We enjoyed the polka band playing Christmas music. Highly recommend!!

Not impressed at all. Food was dry, fatty and tasteless. It was extremely expensive. The Christmas trivia was fun but we won’t be returning.
