Nice atmosphere, however... This place is cheap on their pour...not what you would expect from a place that wants to be considered upscale. For the price you charge for your drinks, I expect the glass to be filled...not 3/4 filled. Had dinner reservations for 2...place was fairly empty (early reservations). Host seated us at a large 4-seat table, next to the staircase. Why would you do that that when there were plenty if intimate 2-seat tables? Thankfully our waiter, who was phenomenal, moved us to a more intimate spot after we requested it.

Beautiful interior! Went on a Sunday night and had to wait 20 mins past our reservation time to be seated. Cocktails were excellent (try their Old Fashioned). Food was just okay, but we only ordered a few appetizers. Entrees may be better. The music was terrible folk pop and a few clicks too loud to tune out. Music should drive the ambiance of a restaurant and fade into the background. In this case it grated against the experience. The highlights for us were the cozy and classy interior and their Old Fashioned. I’d like to give it a second chance and try it on a Friday or Saturday night and sample their entrees.

We really liked the layout and our waiter, Kamden, was very helpful and attentive! The only downside was my wife's steak was overcooked, and it took a bit for the kitchen to get the food out. My scallops were excellent and the presentation of the food was great. I had an old fashioned, very good, and my wife had an excellent wine! We'll be back.

Scholar is the perfect spot for a nice date night in the city. The Parlor floor offered a relaxed and candlelit ambiance, with an elegant feel. The food is delicious. Would definitely recommend making a reservation here!

Really cool atmosphere and ambiance. I was really excited to try this place based on the reviews I had read prior to making reservations. Seasonal flat break appetizer was very good. We also had the bar cheese which was less than impressive although the pickled veggies were very good. Both entrees the salmon and ribeye were okay but nothing to write home about. Crème brûlée was very disappointing.

Overall this place is very cute but the food really wasn’t up to par with a fine dining experience in my opinion. The crab cakes were good but had way too much fluff on top of them it was just a little too much. Less is more. The soup I had was good but the coconut flakes in it added a weird crunch that was just a little too much imo.i got scallops for my entree which came on a huge bed of cabbage..? it sounds decent in the description but just the way it was done was poor and on top of that my scallops were a little chewy and it came with a cream sauce and a few crispy potatoes. The combination was just strange. And the s’mores cake for dessert was good except for the cake itself was cold and hard like it just came out the fridge. I feel like if they made a few adjustments they could excel but not quite there yet. However our server was excellent he even went out his way and notice our table was wobbly and fixed that without us even asking. The ambience is very nice with comfy chairs. However the chairs are a little low to the ground compared to the tables. So overall not really what I expect as a fine dining experience, mostly because of the food.
