Sea Captains House is one of the oldest restaurants on the Grand Strand and has been deeply rooted in Myrtle Beach history for over 5 decades now. The stories of families coming here year after year is what keeps us inspired to continuously better our service and food quality.

Our dedication to quality has been the foundation on which we have preserved our heritage. To preserve old traditions, but also remain competitive in today’s time, we are dedicated to offering local and always “Be Fresh” products.

Whether it is using local farmers for produce or outsourcing our seafood purchases to local fisherman, we strive to do business with natives and locals. We believe the Carolina’s have some of the best products and traditions in the world, which we want to convey to our guests.

Traditions cannot be carried on without a faithful and enthusiastic clientele, and for that we thank you.

We visited while on early Christmas vacation. Our food and service were AMAZING. Our waitress was very attentive. I wish I had did this review immediately after so I could name drop. I had the salmon, OMG, it was unbelievable. And the hush puppies! WOW! Even if you dont enjoy your food, the view makes it 100% worth it. It was beautiful.

We have been at your Restaurant many times this is the first time the service was bad our waitress abandoned us not sure if she went home or what we had to get a hostess get our bill so we could pay it

A very enjoyable experience; a visit from the manager telling us the history of the house and an extremely efficient server, Melissa. The food was outstanding and well presented; a wonderful lunch.

Everything we had was delicious. Started with she crab soup which we were told was “award winning” and I must say it lived up to our expectations! Hush puppies were perfect, crisp on outside and tender inside. Husband had broiled seafood platter which he loved. I took the recommendation of our waiter and had pecan crusted grouper - fabulous! But no room for dessert.

We have been going to the Sea Captain's House for years and have loved the food and the setting by the ocean. We actually had only been for breakfast and lunch mainly and tried dinner this time. It was absolutely delicious.

Been here numerous times over the last decade or so. Always a good meal. They have more than just seafood if that's not your thing, but I can't speak to that as I come here for seafood...

We took old friends here for dinner. This was their first visit to this area I had requested a quiet location, but we were seated on the largest of the enclosed terraces. It was noisy and there was a family with an unhappy toddler nearby. The waitress was lovely. The salad was average and was my choice. As a "dinner" salad, I expected a bit more creativity. There were 3 fish dishes. One was cold and the others lukewarm. We did not try the desserts. I think we were a bit wary. It was Sunday and perhaps the weekday chef was not on. We have eaten here before with good results. We are not sure if it was an off night or perhaps the lace is resting on its laurels. Staff was lovely.

This was our second time at Sea Captain’s House. Once again, the food was amazing. The service was great, as well. We will definitely be making a reservation for our next trip to the area.
