- DescriptionSelden Standard’s fare features flavors born in local farms, captured at the peak of the season, prepared in their wood-fired oven, and served small plates-style in shareable portions. Complementing the menu are wines from small producers, distinctive brews, and cocktails to suit the seasons. Selden is rustic and casual, but with an ever-present eye for quality, creativity, and fun. Chef Andy Hollyday is a 2023 James Beard Foundation finalist and four-time semi-finalist. Selden Standard was also twice named a James Beard semi-finalist for Outstanding Restaurant (2024, 2025), and has been named Restaurant of the Year by both the Detroit Free Press (2015) and Hour Detroit (2016).

Each are leaders in bringing organics and low intervention approaches to Michigan winemaking, and the two have collaborated on a series of six thematic flights comparing and contrasting northern and southwestern parts of the state. Chef Andy will present an original six-course tasting menu to accompany the wines which will include bottles pulled from the wineries' libraries of favorite past vintages.
