   First time to Seler since they rebranded after buying Bistro One. I made the reservation several months ago and requested a quiet table for two, for a friend & me. We were seated in the section by the entrance. It was less noisy than in the main restaurant but it was extremely distracting because of all the traffic coming and going right by the entrance. Our server was good, quite attentive, but a few little minor issues: she removed all our cutlery when she cleared the table after our appetizer and then didn't replenish them when the salad was served but responded quickly when we requested them. She kept our water glasses topped up, which we both appreciated. Service was good, although I felt somewhat rushed through each course but perhaps that's just my perception. (My preference is to take my time and linger over a good meal in a fine dining restaurant.) The recommended appetizer (Digby scallops) was excellent, as was the Caesar salad. We both had the parmesan crusted chicken; I chose it in part because it was accompanied by risotto. The chicken was good but the risotto was somewhat dry. We both had coffee - it was just okay. Dessert was fantastic - toasted coconut creme brulee. We shared it, and it was excellent. Overall, a very nice evening and a good meal.

   We had a work group of 6 for lunch at Seler. Service was wonderful along with our meals, which were quick and priced well for lunchtime. The lunch menu has options for everyone, including 2 vegetarians in our group. Will return for sure! Thanks Meaghan and Monique for a great lunch!

   Service was impeccable. Even if our server was busy with another table, another server ensured we were well looked after. The food was outstanding. Our starters included tempura shrimp with a Meyer lemon coulis garnished with toasted coconut. We ordered Caesar salads and what we loved about our salads was the pangrattato in lieu of a crouton. The dressing is well balanced making the salad really flavorful. My main was the short rib, fall off the bone glazed with a dry garlic spare rib sauce that caramelized beautifully. My husband had the salmon, a center cut, topped with a pesto crust, lemon beurre Blanc, rice pilaf and broccolini. The final entree was the filet mignon, cooked as ordered, tender with red wine demi glace accompanied by flavorful pave potato. All dishes were exceptional. We are so grateful to have talented chef's such as these in our city who create and deliver in a manner that is extraordinary. Well done - to the management, service staff and all kitchen staff - keep up the good work!
