    Thursdays from 8PM - 11PM Sempre Oggi welcomes David Kastin, who has been a DJ in New York for over 30 years, for a curated set from his personal record collection. I bought my first record in 1975. It was Aerosmith’s debut album. Ever since then I have had a love affair with vinyl. It all started with early 70’s rock, then into the late 70’s I was collecting disco ala Studio 54. Next was punk/post punk new wave and my collection grew significantly. In the late 80’s I discovered an old school NYC dance party DJed by none other than David Mancuso called The Loft and it changed my life. The Loft exposed me to so much music, one could hear almost anything from disco to funk, soul, house and rock and post punk it was so eclectic and inspiring

    Our first time here and we went for our 57th wedding anniversary. From the host to the manager to the waitstaff to the chefs, everyone was so pleasant and eager to please. We were even offered a special occasion sparkling drink at the beginning. The chicken was outstanding, so moist, aromatic and crisp on the outside and the shrimp with spaghetti was perfectly cooked with a delicate lemony sauce. The only disappointment was the snapdragon apple and raisin tart with vanilla semifreddo. It was a though we had been given the last of the pieces as it was so small and not filled enough. What there was of it was delicious; would that we had gotten a proper portion. All in all a fine experience and we will return with friends next time.

    Fabulous Italian for the UWS. Both the pasta and the Chicken we outstanding. Beautiful restaurant. Great service. A gem

    With only one minor exception the food was excellent as were all other features of the restaurant. The only reason that I gave 4 instead of 5 stars to the food was because the side dish of crispy potatoes was not as it should have been. Though crispy, the potatoes were completely dried out on the inside to the extent that it was difficult to eat them. This is not a hard dish to prepare and cook properly and I expect with some attention by the chef it will be corrected. This is the first time I have ever found fault with a restaurant because of a side dish. When I next eat there I may try it again.

    I don’t know if we hit a bad night, but the service was very slow, the waiter was obviously pushing certain dishes (especially fluke appetizer… even after I made it clear I didn’t want fish!), the food was not especially good or creative. We wont be back

    Been twice in the past 2 weeks and both times were great! Would recommend ordering the focaccia and whipped ricotta, honestly you can’t go wrong with anything of the menu. Highly recommend!

    Very nice meal. Decor of restaurant is great esp the beautiful bar.some of the highlights- baby gem Caesar and the focaccia to start and the roast chicken for entree. Group all thought pasta dishes a bit small, esp as we had as entrees not between courses. I love veal and chicken Milanese, but the one here is not great unfortunately.

    We had a lovely dinner, with excellent service and delicious food. Maine were outstanding and the carrots, salads and potatoes were fabulous. Portions were larger usual. We will definitely be back! Thanks.
