    At Seneca, we do something special for groups of 9-14 guests, as we invite large parties to gather together and feast. "Convivium" is a fixed three-course, family-style meal priced per guest. There is an entry level option as well as a supplemented option with more food. You won't have to make any decisions, as we'll take care of everything, cooking up some of our favorite dishes from every section of the menu. However, because this is family style, all diners must choose the same option upon booking. Cancellations may be made up to 48 hours in advance of your reservation, any cancellations within the 48 hours are not eligible for refunds. Tax, 20% Gratuity, and 4% service fee applied at checkout.

                                                                                I had a non alcoholic apricot drink, delicious! We shared a few small plates. The wood fired prawns are the best thing on the menu. The truffle arancini and meatballs were also very good. Beautiful restaurant, service is always perfect. My favorite place to eat in San Diego.

                                                                                We arrived 15 minutes before our reservation but were only seated 30 after our reservation time. A patron slammed the secret door open into my friend right in front of the host stand and no one came over to check in on us, even though they saw us right in front of them. It took 1.5 hours after our reservation time for food to come out which was a bit disappointing. The focaccia was delicious, mocktails were good, cocktails were fine, coffee was skippable. The food ranges from passable to decent. The cacio e pepe is an overpriced mac and cheese, the sausage pizza is fine but not worth getting a second time and the lasagna is good if you don’t like tomatoes. Not my first time dining here but probably my last.

                                                                                We booked here for my 22nd birthday. Our server was OUTSTANDING. I really wish I got her name but she was so great. She was only about a month new to the job but she was very knowledgeable on the menu and drinks. I asked her to surprise me with a drink and it was so delicious. I would give this place 5 stars, however our reservation was at 7:45 and we did not get seated until 8:25. Other than that this place was great.
