The food was superbly presented and prepared from salad to dessert. If you are a foodie with discerning taste, this will not disappoint. We had excellent service, too.

A wonderful pan-Asian experience - The atmosphere is relaxing and upscale and the food is wonderful. A great menu that keeps evolving with the seasons and now has a great selection of dessert to finish a very nice meal. The food presentation is top class. A must visit place to visit in Gainesville.

Always love eating here. We ordered the duck, steak and pasta this time and everything was wonderfully flavored and plated beautifully. We always bring our son here when we come visit him at college so he can have a fancy treat.

On New Year's Eve 2024, we visited Sensei for "The Journey," an unforgettable dining experience, paired with wines that complemented each course perfectly—it was truly amazing. We arrived early at 6:45 PM for our 7:30 PM reservation, hoping to enjoy a cocktail at the bar beforehand. My husband opted for a smoked Old Fashioned, while I tried a Cold Manhattan Brew. The latter was unique, featuring coffee that could be added to taste—it was different, but delicious! Around 7:20 PM, we were asked if we wanted to finish our cocktails at the bar or move to our table. We chose to head to the table, and our meal began promptly at 7:30 PM. Each course was carefully paced, and the server provided insightful explanations for every dish. While I thoroughly enjoyed the meal, my husband wasn’t as impressed, particularly with the two sushi dishes he didn’t care for and the ox tongue. Although I enjoy tongue, I found it a bit too tough this time. The dessert was overwhelming. The Ying-Yang dessert was delicious but paired with a sweet wine, it became quite rich. Additionally, the liquid tiramisu was extremely sweet—almost too much to handle. It was a pricey evening, but well worth it for the exceptional service and experience. Our meal ended around 10:30 PM. For two people, "The Journey" with wine pairing, two cocktails, and a tip, the total was $672. We highly recommend Sensei for special occasions or a fun night out. The ambiance is serene and intimate, and while the space is small, it's absolutely delightful. We'll definitely be back, but next time, we plan to order from the regular menu. As a thoughtful touch, we were gifted two beautiful wine stoppers in an elegant black box, adding to the charm of the evening.

Service and food were superb we enjoyed the personal touch, recommendations and professionalism. Was a perfect birthday dinner for my wife.

Really nice restaurant in a shopping environment. Quality ingredients and outstanding service. The seafood was spectacular as were the vegetarian dishes. Tiramisu dessert was delicious and just right. Good ambience and we were happy they were open on Christmas day. Overall very good experience.
