   We went for a late Valentine’s Day dinner on Saturday. We each had a glass of wine that was delicious. The food was excellent. We had four different courses. Each was expertly prepared and the flavors were unique. We would highly recommend this dining and wine experience.

   Another great experience at Shadowbrook! Food was excellent, although both the soup and pasta could have been a bit warmer. Tim, the owner, was our waiter and was delightful.

   I am a long time foodie and wine gal and was really happy to find that we have a winery right here in Walnut Creek! Wine flights starting at $50 - a little pricey, but it's more than just a 1 oz tasting per glass, you are essentially getting 3 glasses of wine. I had the Illumination tasting flight - 2 whites and a rose, and my daughter had the Meritage Blend Flight - 3 red blends. All of the wines were very good; drinkable on their own and would pair well with various foods. You can also purchase single wine by the glass if that's your preference. And speaking of food, we had the warm crab dip, which is served with slices of grilled baguette. It was a perfect pairing to our tasting and the wet, rainy weather outside. Our server was attentive and professional. The winery grounds that we could see are beautiful as was the tasting room itself: cozy and warm, but modern with a lot of windows for natural light. Reservations are required, and it's a great way to spend a couple of hours on a cold, rainy afternoon.

   Everyone is very friendly, helpful and polite. The grounds are beautiful and relaxing. The ambiance is just wonderful. We are members and have brought in numerous guests over the year. Everyone has been impressed with the wine and the food. Nick, the chef, does an amazing job. I highly recommend Shadowbrook Winery.

   Beautiful venue. We went on a sunny winter Sunday and were seated outside next to a warm fireplace. Cozy. I enjoyed the wine tasting (3 reds) but was not special to me. No complaints but just not anything that made me say wow. Food. Brussel sprouts were wonderful and I actually did lick the bowl. Couldn't get enough of them. It is a sharing portion. Two people ordered crab cakes, a favorite of each of them. However, both said that there was too much mayonnaise. One person finished them and the other left 2 of 3. Our server did everything possible to make it better and removed them both from the bill and offered another dish free of charge. They were short of staff and it was obvious based on slowness of service. Hope that they can fix that. Note that it is noisey. Loud outside under the cover. I did buy bottled wine to go.

    Excellent wine, food & service. Had nice seats by a fire pit looking out at the vineyard. What else could you want on a beautiful Sunday afternoon!
