Named after Shep, the beloved Turnpike Dog who became a local legend on the Denver-Boulder Turnpike, our restaurant honors this faithful companion who greeted travelers and tollbooth workers for 14 years starting in 1950. Shep’s unwavering loyalty and friendly demeanor made him a cherished part of the turnpike, and his legacy continues to inspire us.

At Shep’s, we offer a relaxed mountain-chic atmosphere where you can savor the distinctive flavors of Colorado.
