    Brought two new individuals to experience this place and have to say not only were they impressed but we were troop. Kai was an amazing server and his recommendation were top notch. We have been to this location so many times and still have not disappointed. Looking forward to going back.

    Excellent service from everyone, food was great and the hostess was very accommodating and helped us get seats at the end of the sushi bar because it was colder outside than I expected when I booked the reservation weeks ago. We ordered some shishito peppers and I had the hottest shishito pepper I’ve ever had in my life! The Yuzu Tuna Roll is one of my favorites, very refreshing. We also ordered a Spicy Tuna Roll, Pork Katsu, and the Hamachi Lime Crudo. The jalapeños on the crudo were spicy as hell but delicious! Cocktails were great, we both loved the Nishiki old fashioned.

    Really one of the best meals of my life. Fantastic service, amazing food and beautiful artistry. We had the premium churashi bowl, top sirloin And 3 fantastic rolls.

    We have been going to Shimogamo in Chandler for decades and more recently in Gilbert. The food was exceptional, and the server was knowledgeable, explaining all the ingredients, where it was sourced, with recommendations on how to pair some of the items. We tried a new saki he recommended, and it did not disappoint. There was a lovely couple next to us, and we shared the saki and nice conversation. I highly recommend Shimogamo for fresh, unique, and delicious food.

    Made a reservation, sat at the sushi bar. Felt like nobody was assigned to take care of us. We had to ASK FOR small plates, ginger, wasabi, etc. Service matters, and this visit didn’t measure up. Food was outstanding, as always.

    My daughter and I had a very enjoyable dining experience at the sushi bar Friday night. The seafood taste, variety and quality were all excellent, with a decent number of higher end choices available. Service was top notch both behind the counter and on the floor. Our Sushi Chef was friendly and helpful making our selections, and the waiter was attentive throughout our dinner. I would highly recommend giving this new location of Shimogamo a try! NOTE: As some reviewers have observed, we did find service to be somewhat hit-or-miss when they first opened this location, which was a letdown if you were accustomed to dining at the original location. They appear to be past that, as it was a full house on both the tables and Sushi bar when we dined and service was excellent throughout the evening.
