Experience the best of Shimogamo with our Omakase menu, which means “leave it up to you”. Our expert staff will curate a menu, tailored to your preferences and dietary restrictions. Please note that this is not a customly created chef's tasting course, but rather a compilation of our existing menu and specials of the day. Designed for sharing, this menu is perfect for groups of two or more and requires a minimum of two guests. To ensure availability, reservations are required. The Omakase menu is priced per person and excludes tax and gratuity. Beverages are not included in the course but can be added at an additional cost. Please allow approximately two hours for a party of two, and three hours or more for larger groups.

Every time we go to Shimogamo, it’s outstanding. There’s NO other restaurant in AZ that matches the quality of service, food and experience. It’s the only restaurant I’ve visited since moving here from NYC that even comes close to the dining experiences in large, international cities. Just love love love it.

We did their New Year's Eve special menu and added a Japanese whiskey flight. This was the first time we've done one of their special dinners and it was great to taste some different items; we generally do sushi and other small dishes rather than dinners when we go. Everything was terrific. It was full but didn't feel crowded or noisy. Very good service; we never felt rushed, though we were in one of the early seatings. All courses were terrific with the Wagyu beef as the highlight.

We were welcomed in and seated quickly. A complimentary glass of wine was given. A menu was at the table to follow along with the chef’s creations. It was an amazing selection of fish, beef and flavors. We enjoyed house created cocktails also that were very good. Our service staff was very pleasant and well schooled in the description of the items. This was a New Years and anniversary celebration for us.

First of all, our server (Juan) was excellent in his presentation of knowledge and descriptions of every dish we asked about prior to ordering. We also overheard him explaining their own Old Fashioned. THEN we ordered 8 items from the menu. ALL the plates were unfrigginbelievable!!!

An unassuming gem! Wonderfully fresh sushi, creative dishes, and top notch service. We sat at the sushi bar and let Grace (our waitress) choose all of our courses. She made the experience a 10/10. From truffle and grapefruit ponzu sashimi dishes, to the shooters with uni, to the salmon filled cornets, the sushi was delicious. The tempura black snapper was also a table favorite! They also had great cocktails and a ton of sake and whiskey to try. Would definitely recommend and we will be back.
