Experience the best of Shimogamo with our Omakase menu, which means “leave it up to you”. Our expert staff will curate a menu, tailored to your preferences and dietary restrictions. Please note that this is not a customly created chef's tasting course, but rather a compilation of our existing menu and specials of the day. Designed for sharing, this menu is perfect for groups of two or more and requires a minimum of two guests. To ensure availability, reservations are required. The Omakase menu is priced per person and excludes tax and gratuity. Beverages are not included in the course but can be added at an additional cost. Please allow approximately two hours for a party of two, and three hours or more for larger groups.

My boyfriend and I came for dinner. Very attentive server The fish was very fresh! We got the citrus roll and the yuzu tuna roll - they were both delicious. The salmon croquette appetizers were very small, but had great flavor as well. We shared the spicy beef miso udon soup, which was surprisingly sweet; based on the ingredients, we were expecting a more spicy/savory/umami dish. Would skip on this. Ended with the matcha tiramisu; light on matcha flavor and the marscapone cheese one would expect from tiramisu (lighter and airy) was not there - more of a cool cream cheese consistency, thick and a little heavy. The dessert was not too sweet and the flavors blended well, but texturally not what was expected and would skip on this next time too

As always, food is excellent. We tried the yuzu mushrooms which were very good, except a bit heavy on the cabbage at the bottom. The wagyu gyoza was tasty. We were a little surprised there weren't other gyoza options, but this was delicious. Our entree was sashimi and we trusted the sushi chef and tried the bluefin, toro and sea trout. All excellent.

Enjoyed the Omakase dining experience as a date night, and it did not disappoint. Our server, Grace, walked us through a spectacular tasting, including the Wagyu special. The fish was amazingly fresh and spectacularly paired. The variety exceeded our expectations. I would absolutely come back for another experience. However, it is NOT $120 all-in. We provided a budget at the beginning of the meal, and each dish was individually charged. That said, it was worth every penny. I had never eaten here before. The wife and daughter had. The hostess greeted us with the most bizarre directions I had ever heard. Our reservation was at 6:30 and when she spoke, her quote and I kid you not was, “you have to be finished by 8:15.” What? I have never had someone tell me that I had to eat my food in a certain time amount. In a place like that the food comes out slowly. Upon settling down, some of the items came out and the food was excellent . I don’t eat sushi so I had Tempura Shrimp and these rice cakes with crab on them. My wife and daughter had their sushi stuff and it was good. Overall, a nice restaurant and evening, minus the directions given to us. It was busy but you never tell a customer they have to eat in a certain amount of time

Excellent sushi. Access to wagyu beef dishes and added treat. Really exceptional quality in every dish. Good service and ambience just icing on the cake!
