   We enjoyed out first Sunday lunch at The Shire Oak, the service was quick and efficient. The staff were all lovely and chatty , it was good value for money and a bonus no washing up 😃. Such a nice local pub with a friendly welcoming, atmosphere, definitely recommend 🍻⭐️

   We made a booking for 830 on Friday evening. When we arrived we were advised that they had stopped serving food Absolutely ridiculous, why allow bookings to be made if you aren't open to serve food

   We have had Sunday lunch at the Shire Oak three times. We return because each time we are greeted by wonderful staff and the meals are outstanding.

   Really good home made food. Fresh NOT frozen vegetables. Had the beef Sunday lunch and asked for the pink meat. I got the pink meat. Veg nice and crunchy. Gravy nice and think not the thin stuff you usually get. Could not eat it all, will definitely go again.

   Food was lovely overall although Garlic Bread was actually like a garlic pizza and a bit hard . Side Salad always lovely and fresh and not dried up on your plate like you get in some pubs Lovely Scottish bar maid was her usual friendly helpful self . We will return

   Ask if there is a singer booked as it was good but extremely loud for a afternoon dinner.

    Scottish bar maid made us feel very welcome served us immediately (although pub was quiet ). Food was served quite quickly and the Lasagne and salad I received was beautifully cooked and the salad was actually a fresh salad. No limp lettuce here or dried up out of a bag, it was lovely . Drinks were good beer served was obviously kept well . We hadn't been here since Covid and will be back - it was lovely
