Le restaurant Public Kitchen & Bar découle du chef Tim Goodell du restaurant Domaine, au sein de l'historique hôtel Hollywood Roosevelt, présentant un menu composé de plats américains éclectiques. La salle à manger de l'ancien style hollywoodien ré-imaginé de l'hôtel faisant figure de repère historique propose aux habitants et aux voyageurs un cadre magnifique qui rappelle une maison privée élégante et accueillante. Un design d'inspiration loft offre un espace plus lumineux et éclatant souligné par des billots de boucher en noyer noir, des chaises de bibliothèque des années 1960 remodelées et des banquettes capitonnées. We really enjoyed our very lengthy dinner and our server was terrific. I very much hope this restaurant stands the test of time.

Our second visit in one week! Both times we were warmly greeted by Anastasia at the host stand who was always very accommodating and cheerful and just has a wonderful vibe and energy. Our server was very knowledgeable about all the ingredients in everything we ordered (lactose intolerance) and was able to make great recommendations. Both times we dined here were before events across the street at the Dolby/Hollywood&Highland center, and Anastasia made sure to communicate to the staff our timeline so we could be sure to be finished with our meal on time. Every dish we ordered was so inventive, beautifully prepared, and so delicious! The persimmon and leek appetizer was amazing, and I’m still thinking about it. This place is such a great spot for a delicious pre-show meal in the area, especially if you’re already planning to park at the Hollywood&Highland center, and the interior of the historic Roosevelt Hotel that it’s part of is so beautiful to see on your way to and from the restaurant.

Loved the setting. Food and service were great. Little slow in a couple of timings, but not enough to lose any sleep. Casual, yet elegant. Loved it. Great to eat before a show.

The staff were very attentive and personable and made my birthday dinner very special. Booth was comfy, lighting was good, food came out quick and was delicious.

We have been to Shirley Brasserie several times and truly love it. The food, drinks and service are seriously top notch with a well rounded, French leaning menu. The restaurant is decorated in classic Hollywood vibes and is situated in the lobby of the famed Roosevelt Hotel. Cocktails were delicious and the bread was warm and fresh baked. For food we had: Charcuterie cheese board, the Shirley salad, a special, fall salad of persimmons and leeks, steak tatare, duck breast, French fries and brussel sprouts. Everything was prepared with super fresh ingredients and the flavors were all perfect. Unfortunately we were too full to eat dessert so the chocolate mousse will have to wait until the next time we are there....probably in a couple weeks. Add this to your list of Hollywood favorite restaurants and thank me later.

I love food so I don't discriminate on food. Simple dish as the Ceasar salad was fresh and delicous to a richer, decadent, Beef Bourguignon that literally melted in your mouth were all delicous. Be daring. If too cautious the staff is more than willing to help.
