   The pricing structure didn't make sense to me it was £43 for a seafood boil and if you want to add snow crab that alone was £39. The portions are small the boil sauce wasn’t a boil sauce it was more like a creamy pasta sauce me and my friend left most of it the prawns was mushy. We was expecting so much more based in the good reviews

   Staff were not very accommodating, prawns were overcooked and some had no meat. House sauce was too creamy and no alternative sauces for the boils. Food was overpriced and not great value for money. Would not recommend or go again unfortunately. We ordered a platter for two and this is what came

   We really enjoyed the food at Shrimp Shack which is a very welcome addition to the city, as we're always looking for different. The service and attention to hospitality was brilliant, we were really looked after.

   Thought it was very over priced especially the starters and drinks. Over all dining experience was under average. Was like eating in a fast food takeaway like munchies at high end prices. Won’t be in a rush to go again

   On arrival staff very friendly and welcoming, who also helped us navigate our menu. Was a little sceptical about our visit after reading some of the reviews but pleased to say we enjoyed our meal and its presentation. No complaints !!

   I don’t agree with having to pay for a meal before eating it! Very small portion for 2 people. Not good value for money Will not be returning again

   Arrived 10 minutes before booking and when we said we had a booking the staff member didn’t seem bothered, didn’t look like they had a table reserved for us. Struggled to find a table, offered one by main door when Gail force winds blowing in so we refused and asked for alternative. Finally got seated and the menu was on table. We reviewed the menu and for about 10-15 minutes no one came to ask for drink order or anything. I flagged a staff member down and asked if we could order a drink, he said a colleague would be with us shortly and walked off! No one came for another 5 minutes, at this point 15 minutes or more in and not even a drink order taken, no staff member seemed to be paying attention to tables, people had to flag them down. We decided to leave and go somewhere else as the service wasn’t acceptable.

   Terrible service at Birmingham Broad Street branch. Took an hour to get our food on a weekday evening. No point reserving a table, you just get chucked wherever there is a space. Tables are very close to each other. The people on the next table kept staring at our food to decide what they should eat. We could hear all their conversations because they were so close. Lots of smoke that stings the eyes all the time - poor ventilation. Extremely noisy. Too many people in a small space. Food was average. Maybe 4/10. The prawns seem boiled more than grilled and others were overdone. Extremely expensive for the quality of food and service that you get. Never going there again. Jimmy’s Killer Prawns in Leicester is amazing value for money, quality of food and service if you are looking for grilled prawns in the Midlands.

   Food was sooooo good! Best seafood boil I’ve ever had! Only thing I would say is that your whole clothes stink of fish badly so I wouldn’t bring a coat to the restaurant and maybe some spare clothes lol
