Modern Cafe Culture in the heart of Chester.
Whether it's a coffee in the morning, a light lunch on the terrace with a glass of wine from our eclectic selection, to an intimate dinner for two in the restaurant, we aim to offer something for everyone at every time of the day.
If you're not hungry join us for drinks in our bar area where you can sample some of our delicious in house cocktails.

                                                                  Went with the recommendation from good food guide, and the Sunday roast did not disappoint. Service was excellent, nice relaxed atmosphere and the food was superb. To finish off we also had the lemon posset, excellent. Will definitely call again. Thank you

                                                                  It isn't the first time I've been to Shrub and I've always enjoyed the food, the cokctails and the great service and atmosphere. We tried some great food, the desserts are amazing. The service was also brilliant, we had a really friendly waiter who made great recommendations. I'd highly recommend to anyone, especially now that it's warmer and you can sit outside looking out over Chester. Incredible vegan/veggie venue that anyone would enjoy.

                                                                  The best small plates restaurant we've been to. Vegan dishes were outstanding and the service was first class from the front door greeting to the servers. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone visiting Chester.
