Welcome to Shu, once the name of Sichuan province, southwest China, now home of innovative plant-based cooking in Collingwood, Melbourne

Currently we are offering a 10 course vegan degustation. Inspired by Sichuan cuisine, this plant based set menu is all about innovated Chinese cuisine, embracing the healthy plant eating and showcasing seasonal local Victorian produce. From raw and chilled appetisers to fiery but mouthwatering authentic Sichuan flavours of the street food to complimenting premium wines and cocktails, Shu takes you on an adventurous journey of modern Chinese cooking.

Shu's 10 course vegan degustation has been a house signature since 2015. Inspired by China's southwest Sichuan cuisine, Shu presents a modern Chinese dining experience with his hometown flavours using only seasonal and local produce. Starting with plant oyster dish celebrating tofu, and a hand crafted pot plant, this set menu takes diners through multiple courses and showcases various cooking methods, flavours and textures. It is designed for the curious palettes and adventurous minds. Please allow 2 hours for this experience. Available every night when open.

Delicious is the 1st word I'd use to describe Shu Restaurant. We went for the All You Can Eat YumCha and weren't disappointed. We were originally given 1 of each of the dishes per person and it was all so tasty! Once we had worked our way through the menu we could then order our favourites or the whole lot again if you like. 2 rounds was plenty for a big eater. I was left full and have a healthy appetite. The service was great, the atmosphere was quiet and the greenery was a nice touch indoors. Would highly recommend, especially if you've got one of those friends that is a vegan and needs special attention when they go out.

Always an amazing experience at Shu. Was pleasantly surprised and happy to see a completely different menu this time. This was definitely our favourite registration from Shu so far! They were also very accommodating with allergens. Shu is a must try for everyone whether you’re vegan or not!

The food was amazing. We enjoyed every dishes. Everything was nicely presented and every bite was a delight to the palate. Thank you so much for the wonderful experience. Would highly recommend to every food enthusiasts - not just vegans. Service was nice and friendly - cannot highly recommend Shu Restaurant enough for the great time we had (we have been there a few times)

An absolutely lovely restaurant, where the service was completely outstanding and the food truly delightful; it was the perfect venue for Lunar New Year. The ONE thing we noticed is that it did take quite awhile for the next dishes to come out - so wasn't quite "all you can eat".

Had a fantastic experience at Shu with the degustation menu! Ambience was funky and interesting. Food was unique, as were the cocktails. The wait staff were also very friendly. Great vegan spot for a special occasion!
