   Food was excellent! Very tasty and good value. Huge menu, so many amazing choices! The beet salad was excellent! Only issue was with the service. Our server was very personable but not attentive. She may have had too many tables to attend to? We had 2 other servers deliver our appies and twice they brought someone else’s food to our table. Plates weren’t cleared promptly. Also our table candle wasn’t working so we asked twice for a new candle as our table was quite dark, and the candle never arrived. So less than stellar service but it was a full house on a Saturday night. I will definitely go back for the food and hopefully the service will be better next time!

   It was our first time at the Sidebar. The server we had was friendly, helpful & just delightful. The food was good. The criticism I have would be the music & noise level. I don’t mind music, but the kind of music makes a difference.

   I’m not sure why the servers here never seem to come around…. My friend and I came here for happy hour and she never came back to ask for more drinks or even how our food was. My friend and I were super disappointed there’s definitely some lack of costumer service at this place. Sara was very nice and polite in the beginning but then never came back for a whole hour to ask if we wanted refills. I was in on Monday February 17th at around 2pm and Sara was our server who could do better job and definitely requires some training

   I don’t know what has happened to Sidebar. From the time it opened until later last year, it was my, and many of my friends, “GoTo” spot in Langley. However, the service is now very sub par (I.e. waiting 15+ minutes after being seated before anyone approached to take a drink order). Despite the many serving staff being on duty, it continually proves a challenge to get anyone’s attention. Cold food and disinterested staff make me regret having recommended Sidebar to any of my friends or colleagues.

   Our Valentines date didn’t turn out the way we expected. We had reservations. When we arrived, they walked us past empty tables to an area in the back with high tables and chairs. My wife is short and the table hit her about mid chest. We asked if we could sit at a regular table where she would be more comfortable, but they said it was a full house and could not move us. It was 6:30 and the place was about half full. The back room with tables we were in was empty except for us. We ordered drinks and then while we were ordering food, a person came to our table, interrupted our waitress, and said there was a problem downstairs, they were closing the restaurant and we would have to leave. That was the end of our night. It took us a while to gather our stuff and get back to our car and during that time they did not appear to ask anyone else to leave, so we don’t know what was going on there that night. We won’t be back.

   Not a great table. They wouldn’t move us. Terrible customer service. (Our server was good) but the managers and vibe overall was not great. It was a gong show. The food was subpar. I make better food at home. Not worth the value at all. We will not be going back or recommending this place to anyone.

   Decided to give this place another try as the last time we went it was mediocre. We had to wait almost 10 minutes to even get our drinks. Our food came and we never saw the server until our food was done asking us if we wanted more drinks. We actually did want something with our dinner, but by then it was too late. We just asked for the bill and left as quick as we could.

   it was good! tacos were a little cold but the flavour was really good. chicken burger was flavourful and crispy. our server was nice and funny, overall it was good.

    Super friendly staff and a good energy greets you. Menu is pleasingly varied with some nice spicy flavour twists. Ordered the lamb chops with mint pesto and a bottle of BC red off their wine menu which had a good mix of local and global varietals. All very tasty.
