Everyone at the Capital Club was great! Very friendly, happy to see me come in for dinner. I had a wonderful meal and as close to perfect of experience as one could hope to have.

This was an option that came up on Open Table so I booked it for my three friends and I to meet at. I was even sent a reminder message confirming my reservation yesterday. When we finally found our way here on a Saturday night to fulfill our reservation, we were rudely turned away because we weren’t “members.” How is it that you can have options for reservations through a public site and then just simply tell your patron that you’re sorry but they can’t have dinner where they made a reservation? No other explanation was given. Terribly mismanaged and clearly unintelligent establishment.

I have been a member for many years and stopped going due to poor service and mediocre food. I decided to try it again when I found out the GM had been replaced and a new chef was hired. What a difference! The service was fantastic and the food was very good.

The room and view were beautiful. The Caesar salad was delicious. The lobster bisque was disappointing, and the bread was pasty and bland. The prawn cocktail was difficult to eat because the sauce was so chunky, and the toffee pudding was soggy and just ok. The brussel sprouts were a bit too spicy and had a boiled texture, I prefer them crispier, but they were still yummy. Our server was awkward but ok

Beautiful view, great service and food. San Jose service fees are annoying though. Make me not want to tip the server. I did, but may not in the future.
