SIMPL THINGS is an award-winning cocktail, wine and snack bar West of Downtown Toronto. Fun and casual aesthetic bar with a large patio, offering craft cocktails, natural wines and delightful bites from an adventurous, duo-concept kitchen. Join us for our famous handmade pastas from our Comfort Italian Lunch and Brunch menu during the day, or tryout Marrow Steak Tartare from our Asian Snack menu at night. Together they serve up a type of fusion that goes straight to the heart.

Founded by Evelyn Chick, together with Executive chef Cody Wilkes, they curate a space where you’ll experience amazing food, delightful drinks, good convos, and casual vibes. Great for large parties, date nights, birthdays and any special occasions.

Introducing SIMPL Exchange—a monthly pop-up dining experience highlighting Toronto’s vibrant food community. Held on the second-to-last Monday of each month, we team up with top chefs to create exclusive menus, featuring a standout dish on our menu the following month, paired with our craft cocktails! This month, we welcome Chef Dennis Tay, aTop Chef Canada All-Star. Dennis honed his skills at Michelin-starred restaurants and now leads DaiLo as Partner and Chef de Cuisine. Expect bold, bright Asian flavours inspired by his Filipino roots and global travels.

4 of us dined at 8pm on a friday night, great service and it was a fun vibe (not too noisy, cosy and funky decor). We had the tasting menu and it was plentiful, delicious and such a bargain! Bao, charcoal plate and krispie treats were the highlights. I wasn't loving my first mocktail and they kindly replaced it - highly recommend the Red Mystique if you enjoy something on the sweeter side. Can't wait to dine again!

What a freaking cool and delicious concept. Would also recommend for events - they were doing a baby shower at brunch and the apps that were going out into the main room for the function looked and smelled AMAZING! Set up for the party looked great too. Didn’t impede our ability to have an awesome brunch either with an event going on at the same time. Well oiled machine with excellent staff.

Stylish and colourful bar woth fabulous brunch food and service. Have a cocktail first as the pace is relaxed as they make the complex and delicious dishes. Tables are small cocktail size in case that matters to you . We are tall and not small people and it worked for us.

Had the pre-fix meal. Really yummy Asian inspired dishes. Dumplings, pork buns, crispy pork skin, rice with various meats & seaweed/sesame/pineapple, udon carbonara was the main event. Worth it. Support parkdale businesses because they are the best.

Service is great here. Wine/cocktail pairing was customized to our personal liking and cocktails were the highlights. Natural wine selection is awesome too. We did the tasting menu (weekend evening) and while some appetizers were great, the main dishes could be better in terms of flavours. All in all, we enjoyed the experience.

I love this place, delicious brunch menu and happy hour from 2-5!! I would strongly recommend for a weekend late afternoon catch up ❤️❤️
