SIMPL THINGS is an award-winning cocktail, wine and snack bar West of Downtown Toronto. Fun and casual aesthetic bar with a large patio, offering craft cocktails, natural wines and delightful bites from an adventurous, duo-concept kitchen. Join us for our famous handmade pastas from our Comfort Italian Lunch and Brunch menu during the day, or tryout Marrow Steak Tartare from our Asian Snack menu at night. Together they serve up a type of fusion that goes straight to the heart.

Founded by Evelyn Chick, together with Executive chef Cody Wilkes, they curate a space where you’ll experience amazing food, delightful drinks, good convos, and casual vibes. Great for large parties, date nights, birthdays and any special occasions.

Welcome to Simpl Exchange – our new monthly pop-up series designed to spotlight Toronto’s rising culinary stars. Each month, we invite a talented local chef to take over and bring their signature dishes to our kitchen for one unforgettable night! Our February Chef is Mikey- industry veteran of 15 years. Most recently gratefully having spent time alongside Chef Matty Matheson and Coulson Armstrong at Prime Seafood Palace. From hanging out with gramma Myrtle in a church basement to flipping 40oz tomahawks on the open fire at PSP, Mikey has found plenty of inspiration throughout his past experiences - check out his fun pop up with Eastern European roots!

Had the pre-fix meal. Really yummy Asian inspired dishes. Dumplings, pork buns, crispy pork skin, rice with various meats & seaweed/sesame/pineapple, udon carbonara was the main event. Worth it. Support parkdale businesses because they are the best.

Service is great here. Wine/cocktail pairing was customized to our personal liking and cocktails were the highlights. Natural wine selection is awesome too. We did the tasting menu (weekend evening) and while some appetizers were great, the main dishes could be better in terms of flavours. All in all, we enjoyed the experience.

I love this place, delicious brunch menu and happy hour from 2-5!! I would strongly recommend for a weekend late afternoon catch up ❤️❤️

Went here for the pre-dinner snacks. Good ambience, attentive service and delicious food. Both Tartar and Onigiri was great and there were no misses on the menu. Would come back for full meal.

We had the tasting experience and it was sooooooo good!!! Everything was great including service. The only complaint that I have are the fruit flies that we were constantly swatting away. Other than that it would have been a perfect birthday evening.
