Arrived for my reservation. The doors were locked and the restaurant had closed early for the evening.

This was my third time at Six and Sky. As usual, the food was delicious and well plated. Unfortunately, changes continue. I’m used to seasonal menu changes at nice restaurants, but what changes here is either taking items away and/or raising prices. On my second visit, just two weeks after my first visit, the price of cocktails raised by $3 and $5 for a martini. When I asked, they claimed they increased the amount of vodka in a martini, but it was the same size as the last time. The $5 up charge for a martini is a bit much. This third time, they said they reworked the menu. For one of our favorite items, the seafood steamer, the increased the price by $4 yet removed the scallops and clams from the dish. They claimed they increased the size. They did not. The same two shrimp. There were 8 mussels…that might be two more than before. It was basically a bowl of calamari. If this were a truly brand new restaurant, I could almost understand. But this is a restaurant group that should already know portions and pricing. The food is still so delicious, so I will try again. I’m just hoping they don’t decrease the portions and the items we like.

We went New Years eve. I thought the food and service was very good. Staff and waitress were courteous, and I like the roof top ambience. I would rate them higher but we had an exceptionally long wait time for someone with a reservation. I realize it was New Years eve but, the wait time tarnished what would’ve been a great evening. This was my second visit, the first time was a normal night and everything was fine.

We went to the advertised NYE celebration. Our reservations were for four people at 9pm. We were not seated until 10:30pm. Someone added two people to my OpenTable reservation and it was never fixed. There was one bar outside for the entire NYE crowd. The line to get a drink was extremely long. The restaurant was not adequately prepared for their NYE celebration by a long stretch. We will not be back. We would have left if we hadn’t had to purchase our dinner in advance. I was asked for my email address so they could send something in way of apology after the event. It’s been over a week and have received no such email.

My wife and I had the best meal we have had in a long time. We started with appetizers of Oysters Rockefeller and Shrimp Cocktail. We're from the coast and yet these were as good as we've ever had. The salad was delicious and the entrees of NY Strip Steak and Red Snapper were as good as we've ever had while living in a coastal town. The beignets for dessert were out of this world. The service was great even while the staff was having to deal with large NYE crowds. It was the perfect way to leave 2024 and launch into the new year of 2025. Oh and the views and ambience were beautiful. This is now one of my favorite restaurants and we'll definitely be visiting often. Thank you for a great dining experience!

We had a fantastic time on New Year's Eve here! The food was amazing, complemented by the well crafted drinks from the bar. The ambience was great. It was busy and lively, but we will definitely come back another time.
