This business lunch booking was made well in advance as would be expected for such a special and sought after dining experience in this Mayfair corner. The guests were absolutely delighted and thrilled with the culinary creativity and taste sensations, not to mention the exemplary wine menu. Simply outstanding on all counts.

Great dining experience. Had a business lunch there and it really did feel like an occasion. The food is well thought out and full of surprises and the Lunch menu was very good value. Highly recommended!

Amazing place, very modern decor, and the food is great as well, they're very keen on adjusting the items if you don't eat one of the ingredients. The wine list though is totally overpriced, that should be where they make their margin...

We had the Tasting Menu and the service can get a little slow so be warned. Most of the dishes were excellent both in cooking and presentation but a few were too fussy with too many flavours competing for attention. However, it is always a memorable experience coming to Sketch and that can't be said for many restaurants.

I visited Sketch Lecture Room and Library for the first time on a business dinner this week. When I write these restaurant reviews I always talk about wow factor when you first walk in but Sketch clearly laughs in the face of wow factor and moves it right on up to 'Oh my god!' Firstly, the service was faultless and the room is amazing with great ambiance but it’s not stuffy at all and everyone who served us did so with wonderful courtesy and respect. To get things going you are presented with no less than seven amuse-bouche/canapés of wildly varying flavours and a lovely selection of bread. The next two courses of Scallops followed by Asparagus are actually three plates of food per course. One plate was the centrepiece with the other two plates for each course being support acts. I should say this isn’t tapas dining, you are guided in which order to eat each dish. The next course was Morel Ravioli with foie gras velouté, a really lovely dish followed by the main event of Chicken accompanied by some vibrant spring veg and a pot of curried potatoes. This would not look out of place on an a la carte menu in some restaurants I know. Finally we got to the seven desserts, I had to call it a day after the first three! I’ve been mulling this meal over and over and trying to put my finger on it. I loved the ideas, I loved the theatre, I loved the service, I loved the way the food was presented and I really loved the Riesling but I don’t think I really loved the food. It was very good, don’t get me wrong but I think there were too many things going on and nothing that truly wowed. For the tasting menu (£120), accompanying wine flights (£135), bottles of water, champagne and tea, the bill with tip came to about £322 a head. For the shear spectacle, service and quantity of food, it’s very good value at this level. It just missed the mark a bit on flavour I think for me overall. Having said all that, I’d go again in a heartbeat!

A good experience for food and ambience. Service was attentive. The only let down was a marked napkin and fork. This is something that is a definite no no. Outside of that very enjoyable

Set in a beautiful building on Conduit St, Sketch offers several restaurants and bars. The Lecture Room & Library, with 2 Michelin stars, is a great place for a fancy dinner. We went a la carte on the recommendation of the waiter, and it was really interesting. Each course comes with 3, 4 or 5 different plates and so you end up eating a lot of food - all of it beautifully prepared and presented. It is expensive, but a good place for a splurge.

First impression very good. Very friendly staff, very romantic, great decor - very Pink. Nice menu but very very expensive when comparing to some fab eateries in London. Unisex toilets super cool egg pods! Odd mirrors - quite unusual. If you are going on expenses, then it is a must, if you are paying for yourself...save your pennies. More trendy than classical, probably more suitable for 22-30 year olds :-(. I even ventured into the funky little bar and had a ridiculously over priced cocktail. My friends 25 year old daughter loved it, of course we were paying!

I went for a business lunch for two. The decor at Sketch is beautiful and there's a lot of detail everywhere you look. The lecture room is presented in a modern eastern style and is immaculate. The chairs are very comfortable and you're given a side table for the bits that would normally clutter the table. You can see why this is necessary as every course comes with about 6 carefully selected dishes each containing taste sensations to complement your main selection. It's easy to forget what each dish is but due to their simple elegance it's easy enough to work it out. It's not cheap but worth it for the experience once or twice a year! Splash out, treat yourself. Even if you're not, someone you know is worth it.

It is trying too hard to be up there. Food was well executed but neither creative nor really special. No surprise. It was good not great. Price was out of range for this type of experience. Excellent service. remarkably knowledgeable sommelier.
