We're a friendly inner-suburban pub smack-bang in the middle of Kew's High Street with comfy booths, a beer garden, function spaces and of course, sports! Our kitchen’s dishes are classic, well executed pub grub, with fresh ingredients, and every day a bigger focus on local suppliers.

With two separate spaces upstairs (with access to one central bar) and the whole beer garden available to hire – Skinny Dog has the space for you whatever the occasion. Whether it be a larger function in our Edison Room, a board meeting in The Studio, or nibbles and drinks in The Beer Garden, we have spaces and places to accommodate for all your private dining needs.

We love our sport and show each and every AFL game live all season long. Be sure to check out all the sporting action as it happens, including all UFC events on Pay-Per-View, on our 8 big screens!

We had a very disappointing experience for Mother's Day lunch. The service appeared to be disorganized lack experience and communication. We waited for well over an hour and 15 minutes for our main meals to arrive. On this occasion we thought the skinny dog is very overrated

Staff forgot about our entree. Came after our main meal. Staff most apologetic, meal was good 👍

The menu has limited options if you are a vegetarian, which in this day and age is not quite good enough. There are next to no options if you are vegan. If you are a meat lover - you're good to go. The menu needs to be more accommodating if I were to return.

We ate upstairs inside on a beautiful autumn afternoon. It was perfect! Inside/outside ambience.

Wé used to come for steak night really often myself and my partner But last Tuesday was quite bad to be honest We been well welcomed, and came earlier than our booking. My partner ordered at the bar 2 steak night rare. The staff member was so busy to talk with his colleagues (it was 8.30pm, so obviously the rush time gets end) and we received our steak over cooked. But when I said over cooked, will say medium well. A big difference compared to rare. Or the staff did misheard our order or….. Anyway, the steak was tough, but tough, means definitely it is frozen. The more we come, and the more it gets less valuable. I might come back…… I don’t know to be honest. Specially when you are listed in one of the best steak in Melbourne from the age magazine. (I know it is dated few years ago) But is show consistency has discrease I always recommend this place to friends…… not quite sure now

My daughter's meal was so salty she couldn't eat it, and Asked for her to get something else. The staff were happy to comply but the gnocchi recipe perhaps needs to be reviewed? I had the fettuccine and it too was very salty but it was edible while hers was not.

Food was lovely would recommend - lots of choice we eat in the bistro and enjoyed the food and the friendly staff

Reserved a table for 6 on Parma night so we all decided to go with it. Great buzz around the place with good menu options but we went for the Parma and wow, the portions were so generous we couldn’t finish the meal 😂. Service was outstanding, very friendly and quick. $25 for super generous main meal with a choice of beer “on the house” thrown in. Can’t beat that for value these days! Highly recommend ✅

It exceeded all my expectations. Been going to the skinny Dog all my life but the new upstairs facilities and menu is ideal for impressing loved ones and professional guests.

The food was terrible, which was a shame. Everything else was great. We couldn’t return to the hotel for a meal again unfortunately.
