Skyvibe launched the first rooftop, restaurant, and lounge destination residing on Main Street, Laurel Maryland. We are in the heart of the City of Laurel’s Historic District. Situated in an attractive 84-year-old renovated building, Skyvibe’s owner preserved many of the original aesthetics within the renovated structure. Skyvibe’s formation was inspired by its owner’s deep love of the City of Laurel, people, food, and community revitalization.     This was my third trip to Skyvibe Lounge and I can say with all sincerity that I will NOT be returning. My first experience was bad but it was with a larger group from my job so I accredited the bad experience to the fairly large group that we had. Our server (I believe her name was Lo) was actually great but management was not. Because one of my coworkers said that he’d had a dish that was very good when we were there, I thought I’d give them another chance and go with just my wife and I. I called before going to confirm the time that they would close as I don’t live very close to them. It’s about a 40 minute drive. I was told that they were open until 1am. When we arrived there were still lights on but no close parking so my wife let me out at the door to run in and get a table. I was met at the door by the same manager who was rude during my first time there and she told me that they were closed. It was about 10pm. I explained to her that I had spoken to someone on the phone and they said that the restaurant was open until 1am. She said “oh yeah we decided to close early, sorry” and closed/locked the door in my face. I was extremely upset and vowed to never return. However, last night my wife and I were close by and I still wanted to try this wonderful egusi that my coworker had told me about so I decided to go there. Big mistake!! Once again, our server (Jared) was Amazing! And the egusi was good. I wouldn’t say I found it to be as good as my coworker said but definitely not bad. All of the other food that we had was mediocre at best. With the exception of the beef bytes which I wouldn’t even consider food. I tried multiple pieces before sending them back and I could not even chew them down enough to swallow. I’ve had rubber more tender. My wife said that she enjoyed the salmon bytes, I didn’t care for them. The jollof rice was very basic, the tacos were a no thank you, and the wings were wings. The snapper was tasty. The drinks are ok.

    The service here was terrible, the fact that everything is over priced, you’d expect the service to be good but it was the complete opposite. 10/10 do not recommend and will not be going back.

    Our appetizers came out quickly but weren’t hot/fresh. Drinks were good/strong. Server was nice and had a positive attitude but didn’t check on us. We waited an hour for our food and a hostess came to our table to tell us we were approach’s g our two hour limit (we still had 50 mins 🤔) but hadn’t even received our entries. We then attempted to leave, and just close out the check since the food was taking so long. The manager came over asked us to stay and the food was coming soon. Still took another 20 mins for food to come. Wasn’t worth it, won’t be back.

    Hubby and I had reservations and we arrived 2 minutes early. I can see they weren’t ready for our arrival and they tried to accommodate by preparing a table that was placed in the center of a high traffic area of the restaurant - a fire hazard. I refused to sit there and asked for another table. It took us 20 minutes just to get two glasses of water and that was because I was tired of waiting on the server and went to the bar and asked for glasses of water myself. I also went back to the bar to get us drinks because we couldn’t find our server and the manager was busy with two other tables that had issues with their food and bill. one table said their food was cold and not well done. After drinking our drinks We realized, we were there for a full hour and never received our food. So we left. I know they have a lounge upstairs and perhaps they should just put their focus into the bar and lounge.

    Horrible experience, waited 20 mins then the manager had to come over and serve us. The food was cold. Several items on the menu was sold out. Glass from the bar was dirty. Horrible experience, will not be back.

    Skyvibe has a lovely decor and beautifully designed space, which makes for a great first impression. The food was enjoyable—I had the grilled snapper with mixed vegetables, and the veggies were fresh and perfectly steamed. However, the service was slow, and unfortunately, bottled water was not available. One notable drawback was the presence of hookah being served in the dining room, which affected the dining experience. With some additional staff training on service timing and by separating the hookah area from the dining space, Skyvibe could truly become a neighborhood gem.

    Food was over cooked I had wings and salmon entree . Food and cocktails were overpriced based on quality however aervice and ambience were great.
