A unique bar and restaurant set in the heart of the city amongst ancient picturesque streets. We have a great reputation for quality food and drink. During the day The Slug And Lettuce York is a family friendly hub for breakfasts, lunches and coffee.

In the evening we transform into a vibrant cocktail bar and a great meeting place for those after-work drinks. We also have a beer garden ideal for relaxing afternoons.

Was seated 12:20 for our booking at 12:30 we had the table till 2 o’clock we ordered straight away cause we was starving the food only got to us at 1:30 Drinks took a while too we had to keep going to ask what’s going on.. waitress customer service wasn’t great either could tell she was busy but it came across rude

Very busy bar, we are all in our 50s and still felt comfortable in this very busy bar, the food and drink were good value for money, the food was very nice, good all round experience.
