   Single worst dining experience I’ve ever had Started out with a Gray tuna tartare being delivered to the table. Seared Tuna even worse. The chef attempted to put a glaze on the Tuna, even though it’s supposed to be sushi grade and seared crust. The glaze was an attempt to cover the fact that the Tuna had an expired shelf life. It too was gray, I could only imagine how sick we would have been if we ate any of it. Managed came out and tried to tell us it was aged Tuna. When asked to explain what he meant he folded and apologized. Had 2 meals in the last week at the Congress St location and they were average at best. But this is a good wake up call for me, I don’t think I’ll be dropping $400 on dinner anytime soon. It appears they have given up.

   Our sandwiches at lunch were delicious and the service was impeccable. And the chocolate cake for the birthday dessert was fabulous and to our surprise complementary . All in all a very positive experience.

   Archie was great and very helpful. We love Smith & Wollensky, and the other new steakhouse in Wellesley is no comparison to the quality and friendliness at Smith.

   Laurie was a great server! Friendly and knowledgeable, she helped guide our selections and she was spot on! Wagyu filet with peppercorn sauce was outstanding. Very enjoyable experience and well worth the price. Perfect for a special occasion.

   Went out for a special “Galentines” celebration to toast my good friend who is to be mother of the groom this weekend. We were greeted pleasantly by the hostess and the manager on arrival, were seated ahead of our reservation time, and had a lovely conversation with the hostess who brought us to our table. The cocktails, appetizers, and main courses were all delicious. The atmosphere was nice/upscale and also quite fantastic. Unfortunately, the one thing that turned our experience from fantastic to decidedly less was our server. He greeted us with a very snarky/rude demeanor which persisted throughout the meal. It was quite unexpected and disappointing. I am thankful for the adorable and friendly bus people/support staff, making it almost possible to forget the pompous waiter. It is sad that an otherwise wonderful dining experience can be ruined by one person… I will perhaps give the restaurant another try sometime, but likely not soon. At that price point you do not want to leave feeling as though you were treated poorly.

   Our server was wonderful Wine was overpriced Steak was not worth the charge and product is better at other steak houses Hash was disappointing not crisp People should know this is not part of Smith & Wollensky of NYC
