My cousins and I went to celebrate my cousins birthday. The ambiance was very nice, low lighting, and japanese decorations. The restaurant is set up with 3 different kitchens: sushi bar, robata, and robata grill. Since different items are made in different kitchens food comes out when it is ready, not at one time. The server informed us that each meal is designed to be family style. However, the servings did not meet that expectation. Our server gave us a lay down of the menu and was very informative of some of the restaurants favorites. We ordered a california roll, pad thai, korean ribs, and korean fried chicken. The food was very flavorful, seasoned, and tasted fresh. We all agreed our favorite was the korean ribs. Overall the experience was great, but the portions are not big enough for family style.

While it was NYE and I try to understand a busy night, we were seated 45 min after our resy (and 5 other tables walked in and got seated) so we were unable to order sushi. When the food was ordered it came out ice cold. Hoping to try them again in the future on a less busy night!

The worst new year’s experience! First time dining and the manager could not figure how to use the gift card I purchased straight from Social House 7 restaurant company website. It took 35 minutes for the administration to get a clue on how to deliver customer service for first time diners. The manager was wearing a suit and was dressed for the “part of manager” but was NOT dressed for the functionality of being a manager of a restaurant! I will never dine at Social House again.

The directions to the restaurant on this app are NOT correct! They take you to an obscure neighborhood on the outskirts of Pittsburgh. The food was ok, but the fantastic service made up for it

Delicious place to eat after the theater. We had a nice mix meals and sushi. The staff were extremely friendly from moment we entered. Our server was extremely nice and was very attentive. She even knew the menu well enough to advise of spice levels.

Disappointing Experience - Poor Planning and Service We had a reservation for 5:15 PM, shortly after the restaurant opened, but from the start, things went downhill. We asked for hot sake, only to be told they don’t offer it. Then, we tried to order sushi rolls, but were told we couldn’t because there was a private party—something they clearly hadn’t planned for. To make matters worse, we asked for espresso martinis, but they were out of those too, followed by coffee. On a Saturday night, no less. While the noodles were good and flavorful, and the appetizers were delicious, the overall experience was disappointing. Our waitress was hard to find, and our drinks took forever to arrive. This was particularly frustrating because we don’t often get to eat in the city, and we were really looking forward to sushi before heading to a concert. It felt like the restaurant was unprepared and understaffed, which really impacted our enjoyment. Definitely not worth the hassle.

Took reservation for 9:45pm and when we checked in at 9:43 said the kitchen was closed. It was a Saturday night? Also they left a message on my voicemail saying the kitchen was closing at 10pm but still when we got there at 9:43pm they turned us away? Don’t take a reservation if you kitchen is won’t be serving the reservation! Such a disappointment and poor service.
