Söderberg is a Swedish café business with a bakery and 7 branches in Edinburgh. Our first London café opened on Berwick Street in January 2019. We serve authentically Swedish food made to classic recipes with high quality ingredients. We’re open during the day for brunch, lunch, coffee & a selection of buns and pastries, cakes, waffles, Swedish style open sandwiches, pizzas, salads and more.
Please note that when making a reservation, the reservation amount is for all guests coming including children and babies as if not booked in then a suitable table may not be available.
*We reserve the right to merge tables, i.e. you may be sharing a large table with other guests if absolutely necessary.
Meatball Monday -> half price brunch offer on any mains all day. Minimum spend £12.00 on first brunch dish.

    I was disappointed. I had expected an upmarket version of an IKEA cafe. The menu was confusing. I had decided to go for the promoted meatballs, but the only item offering them on the brunch menu was a pizza with meatballs. However I did not want pizza so ordered a Skinka & ost sourdough Toastie with an extra of meatballs. About 8 were served lukewarm, in a small bowl without any sauce. They were edible, but not particularly tasty, IMHO. The toastie was more enjoyable.

    Met up with friends on Sunday for brunch, lovely choice. One of our friends has a very restricted diet and our server could not have been more helpful. Super choice and great coffee and tea. We also bought some pastries to take away and they didn’t last long! A great find

    Excellent brunch with a variety of options to satisfy savoury or sweet cravings. Space was good as there were five of us and waiting staff really helpful. This will be a regular for me!

    Small food portions, quite pricey, they had also run out of quite a few key dishes from the menu. Overall quite an average experience.

    The booking was confirmed for 8pm on a Saturday for dinner . We sat down just after 8pm and ordered drinks. And then when we asked for food menu we were told the kitchen was closed at 8pm. And the overhead cold lighting makes the place still very much a bakery vs dinner with live music as in their adverts. Pretty disappointed.

    Had a very enjoyable evening at Sonderberg's. Great pizzas and those buns! Pleasant jazz background music from an excellent guitar and bass duo. Friendly service.
