   Unfortunately we were disappointed with our experience at Softleys. The lighting was poor, I understand ambience but could barely read the menu. I ( which I accept responsibility) ordered the wrong chicken. It would have been worth the waitress pointing out the two different chicken dishes on the set menu and in the Tuesday/Thursday menu. The taking away of our main courses felt rushed.

   Thoroughly enjoyed our anniversary lunch at Softleys. Great choice of starters, mains and desserts on the lunch menu. Delicious food which was beautifully presented, friendly service and relaxed ambiance. Many thanks and see you again soon.

   I booked the restaurant for lunch with my friends. It was my first visit. The restaurant decor was lovely. I was greeted immediately and taken to my table. The lady’s who served us were so friendly. We took an age to order as we were catching up but didn’t feel rushed. We were left alone until we were ready. We ordered from the set lunch menu which was fantastic. We couldn’t quite believe the quality and quantity of food. My starter of Stilton and walnut pate was delicious. I ordered shepherds pie and have to say it was exceptional. Not your average meal. If you’ve not tried Softleys I would highly recommend it. You will not be disappointed. Fabulous to go to a restaurant and have nothing but positive things to say.

   Fantastic restaurant, giving a wonderful ambience. Very good sensitivity staff, always attentively looking after you.

    It’s been a while since I’d visited Softley’s, as we had other favourites. This visit has put it right at number 1. Absolutely faultless food, drink choices and price point. All topped off by the super friendly and smiley Izzy - just an absolutely amazing mid-week treat. Looking forward to being back very soon.
