   Sol Mar is a fantastic restaurant! The food was delicious, and the portions were huge. You'll definitely have leftovers for lunch the next day. A lot of the entrees could be shared between two people. The servers were friendly and service was great. I'd definitely eat there again next time I'm in Newark.

   We’ve been coming here for years and bring our friends also. We were a party of 6. The waitstaff was very accommodating. Very helpful and spoke English as some of our party were English speaking only. I’m the only vegetarian at the table. I had beans, rice and vegetables. Very tasty. There’s also a vegetable paella. We thoroughly enjoyed it as always. Highly recommend it. The owner visited the table which is a nice touch.

   Our first time at SolMar and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Food was very good, and the staff was very friendly. Will definitely come back!

   Great service and atmosphere. Experienced staff. Average food and Sangria. Not all rooms are same. Luckily we got one of the better rooms. Large service area but broken up into rooms.

    We had reservations at 8pm on Valentine’s Day. Open table took down my credit card to charge $40 for no shows. We got there at 8pm to a throng of people waiting. We waited in the hallway with everyone else and were not seated until 9pm. The waiting area was freezing and the room we booked was not available so we were seated in another less desirable room. The food was good if you’re into seafood, but the steak was disappointing.
