Excellent all round. Delicious food. Service is exemplary and perfectly timed. Nothing is rushed and everything arrives just when you are thinking you are ready for it. Lovely wine selection and seafood fresh and perfectly cooked. Not cheap but for this level of quality and service it’s priced accordingly and warranted. Will definitely return.

We had a really nice Valentine’s Night meal which was the sharing menu and paired wine. The tempura oysters were amazing as was every course The staff are fantastic so accommodating and friendly It was our first visit but will not be our last and we look forward to seeing the extension plans for the restaurant later this year

As seafood lovers, we had REALLY looked forward to SOLE for our first-time, week-long trip to Ireland. Our reservation was on our last night, so we had previously dined at some AMAZING seafood restaurants in Galway (Oscar's is a must for seafood) and Dingle. Unfortunately, by the end of our experience at SOLE we just kept saying how grateful we were that we had traveled to and dined at those other places because, frankly, SOLE was a disappointment 😕. Ambiance was promising. Restaurant was fantastically lit and designed. It felt comfortable and cozy to sit there and dine, no doubt. The espresso martini was excellent and kept the promise of great dining to come alive in our minds. We each had a glass of white Burgundy which we also enjoyed. But beyond that SOLE flatlined. Service was spotty and inconsistent. And although granted our reservation was late, we felt rushed. Very rushed. This would have been forgivable if the food was what we had imagined. Overall it was just okay. Oysters were refreshing and fine (the mignonette they were served with was really good) although the aforementioned Oscar's in Galway had what I considered to be probably the best oysters I've ever had (shucked AT the table, btw). Also cheaper. Mussels with the Thai curry was... fine. Like something I could have made at home in a first attempt by watching a how-to YouTube video. But the entrees were the big letdown. Seabass was immediately forgettable and fish and chips were frankly not good. I had expected a restaurant of this perceived caliber to have that classic fried cod crunch as my knife went into the fish. But it was soft and sorta bland. We didn't finish either. Again, beautiful restaurant, great place to have a glass of wine and oysters. But just considering the experiences we had had on our road trip, SOLE was a surprising let down overall.

Linda, the hostess went above and beyond! She was so lovely and made us feel very special and welcome. It was a fantastic evening. The food was delicious - get the monk fish and chorizo! I had never had a dish like it, and the monk fish was cooked to perfection.
