This is a great addition to our restaurant scene! We had the Guacamole flight Margaritas and tacos! Delicious!

The food and drinks were excellent. However, the noise level was way too loud. Had a hard time hearing my family or the wait staff. The food service staff seemed a little confused on the table number. We were interrupted several times with the wrong food. The noise level made it very hard to enjoy the dining experience. The food and drinks were excellent. The bar vibe was great. Maybe ? Turn up the volume after 10 pm.

Food was good. Good service. Very noisy. Beautifully remodeled. More food selections would be a plus

We made a reservation for 10 AM, and they were closed so we were unable to get in, should update their hours on Open Table , we weren't the only ones waiting outside with a reservation. So disregard the rating because i was not able to try it.

Very crowded busy night only one week after opening, beautifully remodeled and a fun vibe/atmosphere. Drinks are expensive and very small. We received 2 rounds of tapas before our drinks made it to the table… Tapas are also quite small and pricey. Food was good. Highly recommend the mexpresso martini.

Fun new place on Main st! Tapas style. Fun drinks cool vibe. 2 huge bars. Great service.

First time at Sombra. Loud music - too loud! Cola taco was excellent. I had 2. Guacamole was good but tiny portion for $15. Expected more for that price. Chicken Tinga salad with watermelon was ok. Beware the chicken is ice cold by design. Waiter said it was to prevent wilting but it didn’t work like they hope it will. Also tried one of the plates. I forget the name but top of the menu under plates. Not really a tapas / sharing dish. I would not have ordered 2 tacos had I known the size of that. It’s a meal on its own. Waiter could have warned me. One other: menu is somewhat limited. I thought it may have a few other options. Wine was very good. Nice selection. Also had the tequila old fashioned. Not a good drink at all. No pricing on the menu for the cocktails, oddly, and wasn’t worth $15. Server, James, did a nice job. Can’t complain about the service. We’ll certainly go back, but it wasn’t a “wow, top of our list place”. We gave it 3 stars.

Fabulous new decor! Restaurant is beautiful. Our server, Taylor was amazing and added to our great experience. Tapas style food was fresh and flavorful. Margarita flight was soo fun! Definitely going to come back again soon!

My wife and I recently learned that Sombra had finally opened and we had been keen to try the new food and concept from this restaurant group. We have enjoyed JB's and Wickford on the Water over the last few years and our expectations for Sombra were very positive based on that experience. When we arrived, at around 4:15 PM, there were not many people in the restaurant and we sat at the bar. We like to sit at the bar for dinner and the bartenders were very helpful and friendly. The drinks were a bit pricy but not unexpected for Main Street in East Greenwich. We enjoyed the bar. We ordered a Nacho appetizer with smoked Brisket added on top. It arrived from the kitchen very quickly. The combination of the warm brisket and the cold salsa, guacamole and crema was tasty but it caused the dish to be colder than expected. We chalked it up to the sauces and enjoyed the Nachos knowing not to make that mistake again if we go back in the future. While enjoying the Nachos, we ordered the Carne Asada dinner plate to share. Unfortunately, that dish arrived even quicker than the Nacho appetizer did. On top of that, the meat was room temperature at best (we did not ask for medium rare) and plated on top of a less than warm pureed poblano sauce. The taste was great but the temperature of the meal was lukewarm at best. Bottom line - they still have bugs to work out on the food coming out of the kitchen. A Carne Asada should come out of the kitchen sizzling on the plate. It should also come out after the appetizer is cleared - not during the consumption of it. We will go back in a couple of months but we will be very intentional in how we order next time in terms of timing and expectations when ordering.

The food was good, music was a loud thumping beat. Order two tequila’s, one neat and one on the rocks. Up charged 2.50 for ice and 2.00 for neat. The waitress presented the menu as shareable , not so much when tacos are sold individually and limited dinners are only enough for one person.
