Song Bird by chef Neil Perry AM offers a superlative culinary experience that blends the delicate flavours of Cantonese cuisine with the warmth and fragrance of traditional Chinese cooking. Reflecting Perry’s profound appreciation for Chinese culinary traditions, Song Bird’s menu is designed for sharing and is a testament to Perry’s commitment to cooking with fresh, locally-sourced premium produce.

Situated in Sydney’s Double Bay and set over three levels, Song Bird exudes a sophisticated yet welcoming ambience. Housed in the heritage-listed 1960’s masterpiece ‘Gaden House’, designed by architect the late Neville Gruzman, Song Bird's interior immerses guests in contemporary elegance with a subtle nod to Chinese sensibilities.

Neil Perry AM is one of Australia’s leading and most influential chefs. He has been the Food, Beverage & Service Director at QANTAS for 25+years, creating one of the best dining experiences in the sky.

We offer our share-style Expressions of Song Bird Menu at $135 per person, allowing guests to celebrate with a glorious feast of Chef Neil Perry’s signature dishes. To enjoy the full Song Bird experience, diners have the option of enhancing their menu by adding chef’s Menu Supplements. For groups of 10 or above, please contact our reservations team to finalise menu supplements, dietary requirements and wine pre-selection. Please note a surcharge of 10% applies for reservations of 8 guests or more.

Our group dining space in Song Bird is nestled in the tree tops overlooking Double Bay and can accommodate up to 18 guests. Guests are asked to dine on our share-style Expressions of Song Bird Menu at $135 per person, allowing guests to celebrate with a glorious feast of Chef Neil Perry’s signature dishes. To enjoy the full Song Bird experience, diners have the option of enhancing their menu by adding chef’s Menu Supplements. Please contact our reservations team at 02 9871 9888 or info@songbirddoublebay.com for the Expressions of Song Bird Menu, our selection of Menu Supplements and our Wine List. For exclusive use of the group dining space, there is a minimum spend requirement of $3,500.00 plus a 10% service charge.

Another fabulous meal thanks to the creative genius of Neil Perry! Exquisite food that was perfectly crafted by the stellar team of chefs at Songbird. Ambiance was warm and inviting, held in balance by Valentina who looked after us for lunch. It was truly an one for the ages - thankyou

Most enjoyable lunch - we especially enjoyed the dumplings and the coral trout. The staff were attentive and very pleasant

My second visit, and again, food and wait staff were excellent. Only criticism is that, having ordered the banquet for 8 with a couple of extra dishes, the flow of serving the many courses wasn't perfect; started well, then a big gap, then too many dishes arriving all at once. Particular mention for the steamed vegetables-so good!-, the Peking duck and the XO Pippies. And for looking after our two gluten free people impeccably.

We had a lovely dinner food was excellent and the service was great as well would recommend in a heartbeat.

Great restaurant with sensational food . Next level desserts were so worth it. Food was a little slow to the table but this actually made for a more relaxed dining experience. Service was perfect and I’ll definitely be back soon .
