   I had a fantastic meal at Sotogrande. The food was absolutely amazing—every dish was bursting with flavor. The baba ganoush was rich and smoky, one of the best I’ve had, and the fish was perfectly cooked, fresh, and full of flavor. The overall dining experience was delightful, with a great atmosphere that made for an enjoyable evening. The only area that could use some improvement is the service. While the staff was friendly, the attention to detail wasn’t quite there. For example, there was little presentation and explanation when dishes were served. A bit more attentiveness would elevate the experience to match the quality of the food. Also, a small note on the valet situation—it would be great if they allowed customers to add a tip on the credit card. The valet team works hard, but in a mostly cashless world, not everyone carries cash for tips. Hopefully, that’s something they’ll adjust in the future. Overall, I’d absolutely recommend this spot for the incredible food. Just be prepared for service that’s fine but not exceptional, and bring a little cash for the valet if you plan to use it!

   This was our first time at Sotogrande. The atmosphere was very nice. We sat outside overlooking the dock and boats. The drinks were very good. We started with babaganush with homemade pita bread, shishito peppers and swordfish kabobs. Everything was very good! I got the octopus for my entree. It was very good but small and not enough octopus. Someone had the stuffed squid and said it was delicious. We got fries and grilled veggies for the table. They were very tasty. I had vanilla and pistachio ice cream for dessert. Again they were small portions and the pistachio wasn’t that good. We will go back and probably just order appetizers and drinks. I would recommend Sotogrande for the atmosphere and shareable starters!

   Overall, a good experience—but not without some character development. Despite having a reservation, they wouldn’t give us a table outside, which felt like being denied entry to an exclusive club I was already on the list for. Since we had a child with us, we really didn’t want to sit smack in the middle of the chaos, but after some polite negotiating (read: desperate parent pleading), they managed to squeeze us into a spot near the kitchen. Not ideal, but at least we weren’t dodging elbows from neighboring tables. Then came the great server shuffle. It was like a relay race where each person passed us off to the next until we finally landed on our third and final server. Luckily, they stuck around, and once the service got going, it was actually pretty good—just took a minute to warm up, like an old car in winter. Now, the food? Absolutely worth the plot twists. Everything was delicious, which helped me forgive the initial bumps in the road. Since they’re a newer restaurant, I’ll cut them some slack—after all, Rome wasn’t built in a day, and apparently neither is a seamless dining experience. I’ll definitely be back, but not before checking out some of the other spots in the complex. Gotta see who else is running a reservation Hunger Games.

   Love the tzatziki and hummus with the oven fired pita bread, Greek salad and skewered meats are delicious. Enjoyed the view and the live music. Great service from Ruben!

    A perfect day to sit outside in beautiful surroundings. Lunch was very good, The waitress was excellent and we were able to take our time to visit and not be rushed.
