Sougo's cuisine is Shojin vegetarian, with an emphasis on seasonal ingredients (we can also cater to vegan guests).
The restaurant's mission is to bring the teachings of Shojin vegetarian cuisine to the modern age, to bring out the best of the ingredients, and to utilize all of life we receive without wasting any of it.
Combining the essence of a restaurant with "delicious, fun, and beautiful," we offer dishes that are both modern and traditional, with a few surprises thrown in.

    tres tres déçues , les plats sont sans saveur , bouills etbrebouilllis et présentation médiocre . Nous avons chois le menu Zen (menu 2 ) il n’y a que 2 menus poposé En revanche la note est très très salée 1’equivalent de 100€ par personne pour des légumes bouillis ou du tofu et 4 petits quartiers de fruits coupé sans rien et 3!bieres !!!

    The restaurant was very hard to find as it was not on the ground floor. Once inside, the staff was formal and unfriendly. The chef in particular was very stiff and offered no insight into the food he was preparing. We were sitting at the counter right in front of him. We wanted to try something different and this was very different! It was good and abundant. But very expensive.

    This cozy, romantic spot will absolutely blow you away once your food hits the table. Think about how much fine dining relies on big ticket meat and fish items; now, take them all away. How will the chef deliver a five star fine dining experience? Chef Nomura doesn’t just deliver, he inspires. My wife and I left with a deep appreciation for Shojin Ryori cuisine and are looking forward to finding ways to incorporate more vegetarian meals at home. We cannot recommend this gem of a restaurant enough.

    Whether you’re a vegetarian or not, Sougo is definitely worth a try. From the first course to the last, I felt as though I had entered an edible and delicious forest—particularly when I was served this one soup with eggs and possibly tofu upon which a little leaf was placed on top called “snow falling on tree”(and it really looked like a little tree surrounded by snow. I loved being surprised by the unique and surprising ways that vegetables could be simply, yet deliciously prepared.

    お昼の御膳1,980円をいただきました。お店には若い男性スタッフさんが二人いただけ。真冬の寒い日に氷水が差し出され、ビックリしました。精進料理のお店なので、温かいお茶が出てくるものだと勝手に思い込んでいました。 口コミ評判も良く、醍醐のご長男がオーナーシェフとのことで期待値が高過ぎたのかもしれません。 料理、接客サービス、ファシリティ、全てが普通。少なくとも「お昼の御前」ランチのリピはありません。この界隈には他の選択肢がいくらでもありますから。 口コミを見る限りでは、外人さんや常連のお客さんには評判が良い様です。

    The service is excellent. I don’t speak Japanese and the chef made sure that he described everything that was being served and was very attentive. The food is excellent. I had the vegan tasting menu that had a variety of dishes and flavors. The ambiance felt upscale and relaxing at the same time. It felt like a great escape from a workday.
