Southern Kitchen, which is known as "The Mouth of the South" to the locals, serves up comfort food favorites. From collard greens to fried fish and chicken, the eatery provides a comfortable, relaxed spot for enjoying classic Southern food, beer, and wine for lunch, and dinner. Since opening in 2014, the restaurant has focused on providing good food paired with a classy experience and great customer service. Southern Kitchen features a variety of options for starting the meal, including fried oysters, fried okra, southern rolls, and salad. Enjoy sandwiches like the salmon cake and chicken club, or dive into some apple pecan salad, fried fish, big momma's chicken, and chicken livers and onions. Southern Kitchen also features plenty of filling plates, including the seafood platter, meatloaf, catfish, and southern-fried pork chops.

This was only my 2nd time here and it left much to be desired. The positives are the same from my first visit, the ambience and location are excellent. Last time, the service was average, this time the service was much better. However, the food was average which does not equate to its high prices. The cornbread was good but the Country Fried Chicken which was fine though it wasn’t the best I’ve had. The Mac and cheese was delicious but the yams were a weird gooey texture that I’m not used to when eating candied yams. I didn’t eat but a few bites of it. Last time, my issue was the collard greens as it had no taste to it. Lastly, the final disappointment was the sweet potato pie. It looked a little darker which is unusual for sweet potato pie but I still had a few bites. Well it was awful. Similar to the yams, the pie also had a weird gooey texture. It’s the worst sweet potato pie I have ever had in my life. When I got home, I got sick and everything came back up. The food is too expensive to be disagreeing with my stomach. I doubt if I come back to this place.

I have visited the Stony Point location twice recently and I love this restaurant. There is a warm inviting feeling when you walk in the door. The decor is beautiful and the service was excellent. The food was delicious with plentiful portions. It has an awesome vibe and you’ll love the festive holiday decorations. Nice private space available too.

What a delightful restaurant! Our server,JT was delightful. Our food was delicious! Our drink order was delivered slower than expected because there was only one bartender and the bar and restaurant were full. Definitely recommend a reservation. We were early and they were unable to seat us. But much to her credit, the hostess suggested we head to the bar. I can’t tell you how many restaurants I have you ASK if I can go to the bar. As we were leaving, we met the owner who made sure we had a pleasant experience. I complimented their food…and ladies room, which was clean I decorated so lovely!

It was an awesome experience good was delicious and we enjoyed our server she took good care of us was gracious to us. I pray great success for this business. It’s beautiful

Our service was impeccable, food was excellent and love the ambiance of the new location! First time at Stony Point location but not to the Southern Kitchen Experience !

Great food. Been going there weekly for the last 2 months. However, we keep getting the same waiter and he’s not attentive at all. Takes forever for him to acknowledge us, drinks take a while to come and he never refills our sweet tea. We have to ask for it ourselves prior to being checked out.

We had the catfish, flounder, cheese grits, cabbage, and collards. Everything was awesome!
