The Lunchroom is a 40-seat restaurant and café within SPACE 519, a concept store in Chicago’s Gold Coast neighborhood, just off of the Magnificent Mile. Featuring breakfast, lunch, weekend brunch, and an all-day café. The Lunchroom focuses on vegetable forward, California style cuisine. Placing a heavy focus on locally-sourced ingredients, and serving classic staples with a twist.

Now introducing The Lunchbox, the all-day-café, which offers a new grab and go menu featuring sandwiches, baked goods, quiches and tarts, featured entrées daily, along with a coffee bar, cold drinks, and curated wine bottles.

Always love bringing a friend here for lunch. The food is divine and the boutique is an added plus. The secret of the neighborhood. Try the Kale salad with the lemon dressing it is amazing!

We had a wonderful Birthday lunch for my moms 81st! The food is delicious and I love the atmosphere. Such a fun spot!

The food is so good. Versatile menu. Black and white cupcake is devine. Our server was appropriately attentive. LOVE Space 519. Great retail options, too. They have a magnificent buyer.

Space 519 is our neighborhood go-to for lunch. It has great salads, a nicely curated wine list, and good tea and coffee options. And after lunch, you can get in a little retail therapy at their fabulous clothing store.

Space 519 is a beautiful and eclectic restaurant. The setting is unique and cozy. However, the service is really spotty; some servers are kind and friendly, while others couldn’t be bothered to engage in any social niceties a server would typically engage in. In addition, the food is good (not great), but takes forever! I have dined there twice, and both times, the food took at least 25-30 minutes, and we had ordered the most basic items on the menu. The kicker was, when the food finally did arrive, 2 of 3 of the dishes were cold. There was no acknowledgment of us having to wait too long, which is an indication that long wait times for food to arrive cold is a norm at Space 519.

I am so sorry you felt this way. We strive to deliver the best experience. I am the owner & I stopped by your table several times. I wish I had known you were unsatisfied so I could have solved issues in real time. We are small and make all items from scratch - which is why our food does take longer. But your food should never be served cold. I know we tried to pace things to accommodate your toddler, drinks and starter. So I am truly sorry we missed the mark. Take good care.
